Mr. John upgraded my rental car free of charge, which let me experience the charm of a GT for the first time. This Mustang made my Great Ocean Road trip incredibly enjoyable. Meanwhile, Mr. John thoughtfully prepared an umbrella and water in the car. I will definitely rent a car from him again when I come to Melbourne next time.

Great car, runs smoothly and good to get around the city and out of the city on a longer haul. Some minor parts not quite at full function such as the side mirror tilting (this could be fixed by changing the angle by hand) but primarily these were cosmetic. Pick up was really easy, once I figured out the lock box, bluetooth functionality worked and car was comfortable and warm to drive, and clean to arrive at. Overall great value and great location, would rent again.

Fantastic host! Super polite and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Great communication, pick up and drop off process was a breeze. Cars are clean and well presented. This is my second hire with this host and both cars have had a high quality phone mount already in the vehicle, (inclusive and not charged as an extra) a non-negotiable for me to use gps safely while driving. Happy to hire with this host again!
Car pickup and return was quick and easy. Host responds very fast to any queries I had during the trip. Would hire from them again in the future if I ever need a car again.

I recently rented a Kia Picanto and had a fantastic experience. The car was super economical on fuel, really easy to drive, and perfect for getting around the city. The rental process was smooth, with excellent customer service. Jay was professional, friendly, and offered a great price. I’ll definitely be renting again from him in the future. Highly recommended!
Car was fantastic for a day trip! Easy to drive and comfortable. David was easy to contact and very helpful!
Great clean and super tidy car, will definitely rent again if I need a car.
Pickup and drop off smooth, great car and very economical. 730km trip cost around 80$ in fuel for 2 people! Thanks Bruno
Pick up and drop off are easy and instructions are clear. Host is nice to deal with tbh and car runs good
Had a fantastic experience renting Yash's car. The vehicle was spotless, well-maintained, and drove perfectly throughout the trip. Pickup and drop-off were smooth and hassle-free, and Yash was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Everything was exactly as described. Highly recommend renting from Yash, and I'd happily book again in the future!

Highly recommend John’s M3. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Very very special driving experience, brutal performance, luxurious interior and BMW showmanship. Has everything for a reasonable price Car was in great condition, running Kumhos on the front and cheaper Chinese tires on the back with sufficient tread and grip to have safe fun. John and his team again made the whole process really smooth and convenient. Really handy to have plenty of unlimited street parking nearby to leave your car and swap Thanks again

Car was great only thing I wasn't use to is not having rear view camera, the car has it but didn't work. Head lights weren't very bright but overall great car thank you
The host dropped off and picked up the car which was so helpful! And the car was clean and tidy and very fuel efficient! Thank you very much

Very good experience! Quick responses and good communication. Car worked perfectly without any issues!

The car was great, drove well, easy to park and loved the interior and felt safe driving it. Thank you 😊

The host was great at communicating and the car pickup and drop-off was seamless!

For exploring Reservoir and its surroundings, a versatile SUV or a comfortable sedan are excellent choices. SUVs offer higher ground clearance, perfect for venturing into nearby parks or tackling any unexpected road conditions. Sedans, on the other hand, provide a smooth ride for city driving and are fuel-efficient for longer trips. If you're planning on transporting bulky items or sporting equipment, consider hiring a van or ute. These vehicle options ensure you'll have the right car for your Reservoir adventure, whether you're navigating urban streets or exploring the beautiful Victorian countryside.
Navigating Melbourne's peak hour traffic from Reservoir requires some strategic planning. Consider using the CityLink tollway for quicker access to the CBD, although fees apply. Alternatively, public transport can be a stress-free option, with Reservoir station offering regular services to the city. If driving is necessary, plan your journey outside of peak times (typically 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM). Utilise real-time traffic apps to avoid congestion and find alternate routes. Remember, Melbourne's hook turns can be tricky for visitors, so familiarise yourself with this unique turning method before driving in the city centre.

In winter, mornings can be frosty, so allow extra time to defrost windows if necessary. During summer, ensure your hired car's air conditioning is working properly to combat potential heatwaves. It's also wise to keep a bottle of water in the car. Check weather forecasts regularly and adjust your driving plans accordingly. Being prepared for various weather conditions will ensure a safe and comfortable driving experience around Reservoir and Victoria.
Driving in Reservoir differs significantly from navigating Melbourne's bustling city centre. Reservoir's roads are generally wider and less congested, making for a more relaxed driving experience. However, watch out for pedestrians and cyclists, especially near shopping areas and parks. In contrast, Melbourne's CBD features narrower lanes, tram lines, and unique hook turns at some intersections. Parking is typically easier to find in Reservoir, often free or inexpensive, whereas city parking can be scarce and costly. When transitioning between the two, adjust your driving style accordingly and stay alert to the changing road conditions and traffic patterns.
For long-distance drives from Reservoir to other parts of Victoria, consider packing a few essentials in your hired car. Bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey. A physical map or downloaded offline maps can be helpful in areas with poor mobile reception. Pack appropriate clothing for your destination, as Victoria's climate can vary significantly between regions. For coastal trips, don't forget sunscreen and beach gear. If heading to the mountains, warm layers are crucial. Planning your route in advance, including rest stops and fuel stations, will ensure a smooth and enjoyable road trip experience across Victoria's diverse landscapes.
