Van is pretty clean and pick up and drop off is a breeze. The only down side is that it does not have a lot of cargo room for your stuff. Seats are a little uncomfortable AC takes a while to reach the very back. Other than that everything was great. It drives smooth and the backup camera is a big plus! You cannot beat the price. I would definitely rent again!

Kelvin was a great host! His Ford Transit was amazing four our family trip. We had 6 adults, 3 kids, and 2 pets and it fit us all comfortably. The vehicle was clean and in good condition. The AC worked wonderfully for the heat and the seats were very comfortable. The only hiccup we had was picking up the van because we were confused with the parking garage. This was our first time using Turo and picking up a rental at the airport. Otherwise, the van was perfect for our family vacation!

5 stars! The host was incredibly flexible with the return. My plans shifted at the last minute and I needed to bring the car back a few hours later than originally scheduled—he didn’t even blink, just confirmed the new time and made it work perfectly. From start to finish, he made the whole process feel effortless. Clear instructions, quick replies, smooth pickup, and an equally painless drop-off. No stress, no complications, just easy. The car was clean and ready to go too. Would rent from him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Daniel was my first rental on Turo and he was easy to work with. From the rental process to pick-up and drop-off, the entire process was seamless. His 10-passenger van was affordable for our short-family vacation in San Diego and an amazing vehicle to have that enhanced our memories filled with laughter and joy having everyone together during our road travels from San Diego to Orange County through to Los Angeles. While the Van provided a television for entertainment, it was not needed for us but I am certain that it will benefit others. A great feature to the Van!! The only trouble we had, at first, was locating the gas tank. It took us a while to locate it, but after the while we decided to look it up on YouTube and we found it. It is located at the Driver side, unnoticeable because the cover blends in with the door and Van’s side panel. Haha. Rent this Van from Daniel. I promise you that you will not regret it!! Thank you, Daniel, for allowing our family to be together in your Van and at an affordable rate!!!

You should book your van rental early on Turo, especially during summer months when demand peaks for beach destinations and family vacations. Consider vehicles with features like backup cameras for easier parking in crowded beach lots, and all-wheel drive if you plan to explore canyon areas or venture into nearby mountains. Frequently asked questions in Laguna Niguel

What van features matter most for Laguna Niguel family trips?

Spacious seating for up to eight passengers ensures everyone travels comfortably during your Laguna Niguel adventures, whether heading to nearby Laguna Beach or exploring Santa Ana attractions. Climate control becomes essential for California's warm weather, while ample cargo space accommodates beach gear, luggage, and shopping from Newport Beach excursions. Safety features like backup cameras and blind spot monitoring prove invaluable when navigating busy areas around Anaheim or San Diego.

How do you handle van driving in California traffic?

Maintain extra following distance since vans require more stopping space than regular vehicles, especially during rush hours between Laguna Niguel and Irvine. Use your mirrors frequently and signal early when changing lanes, as California drivers move quickly around larger vehicles near busy areas like Long Beach Municipal Airport. Plan your routes during off-peak hours when possible, particularly for trips to San Diego Airport or Ontario Airport where traffic congestion peaks during morning and evening commutes.

Where can you easily park a van in Laguna Niguel?

Most shopping centers and restaurants in Laguna Niguel offer spacious parking lots designed to accommodate larger vehicles, making van parking straightforward for family outings. Beach parking near Laguna Beach requires arriving early during peak season, as van-friendly spots fill quickly at popular coastal destinations. Public parking structures in nearby Irvine and Newport Beach typically provide adequate clearance and wider spaces suitable for rental vans.

Which van size works best for group adventures?

Eight-passenger vans provide the ideal balance of space and maneuverability for exploring attractions from Juan Capistrano to Anaheim with extended family or friend groups. Twelve-passenger vans suit larger gatherings but require more careful navigation through tighter spaces in historic areas like downtown Laguna Niguel. Consider your typical group size and luggage needs when selecting between standard and extended van rentals for California adventures.

How do you stay comfortable during long van journeys?

Adjust seats and mirrors before departing Laguna Niguel to ensure optimal comfort for extended drives to destinations like San Diego or beyond. Pack snacks and entertainment for passengers, especially when traveling with children on longer routes through California's scenic coastal areas. Take regular breaks every two hours at rest stops or attractions along your route, allowing everyone to stretch and refresh during your van rental adventure.

What safety features should you check in your rental van?

Verify that all seatbelts function properly and familiarize yourself with the van's blind spot monitoring system before leaving Laguna Niguel for your California road trip. Test the backup camera and parking sensors, as these features prove essential when maneuvering in crowded areas around Newport Beach or Santa Ana. Check tire pressure and ensure the spare tire kit is accessible, particularly important for longer journeys to airports like San Diego Airport or Ontario Airport.

Is there unlimited mileage van rental on Turo?

Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you'll need to check on each rental van individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you'll see the total miles or kilometers you're allowed to drive under the heading "Distance included." You can find vans offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the "Unlimited distance" filter.

How does van rental insurance work on Turo?

No, you don't need personal insurance coverage to rent a van on Turo. In the US, any personal insurance you may have that covers damage to the host's vehicle would kick in before your Turo protection plan. When booking a van in the US, you'll choose between three protection plans — Premier (eligibility requirements apply), Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of protection that's right for you. On each trip, you're covered with third-party automobile liability insurance provided under a policy issued to Turo by Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company.* In New York state, you'll also choose between Premier (if available), Standard, or Minimum. With each plan, you're covered with liability insurance of $1,250,000.* Protection plans for New York trips also include access to roadside assistance, priority phone support, and 24/7 customer assistance.

Do I need to be a certain age to rent a van on Turo?

To rent a van on Turo in the US, you must be 18 years old or older.

What kind of license do I need to rent a van on Turo?

Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver's licenses issued outside of the US. Licenses that Turo doesn't accept in the US include any that have expired, have been altered, are conditional, probational, provisional, or restricted. Learner's permit/instruction permits are not accepted.
