A Ram 2500 truck rental gives you heavy-duty pickup muscle: a standard 6.4L HEMI V8, an available Cummins diesel, and up to six seats. Browse Ram rentals on Turo to find the cab, engine, and drivetrain that fit your plans.
Compare listings by daily price, ratings, and reviews, then book the 2500 that suits your trip. You'll arrange pickup with a local vehicle owner — some listings offer delivery, too.

The 2500 meets heavy jobs with heavy power: the standard 6.4L HEMI V8 makes 405 hp and 429 lb-ft through an eight-speed automatic. Step up to the available High-Output 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6, and you get 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. The automaker calls that best-in-class torque for an available base diesel — serious muscle when the bed is full.
Properly equipped, the gas-powered 2500 carries up to 3,930 lbs of payload. That's room for a serious load of gear, tools, or move-day boxes — so you make fewer trips back and forth.
Payload covers everything you put in the cab and the bed, so passengers count, too. Keep every load within the rated capacity for the truck you book, and secure it before you roll out. Stay inside those limits, and the 2500 takes the heavy lifting off your plate.
Pick the cab that fits your crew. The 2500 comes in regular cab, crew cab, and Mega Cab configurations, with seating for up to six depending on the setup.
A regular cab suits solo jobs or a two-person team, and the crew cab adds a back row for friends, family, or coworkers. The Mega Cab stretches the cabin further and adds reclining rear seats — a welcome upgrade on long drives. Check each listing's photos and description to confirm the cab style before you book, especially if you need every seat.
The 2500 shines when a job calls for bed space and cabin room at the same time. Think moving day, a big DIY project with tools and materials, or a group trip where six people and their gear ride together. When a smaller truck won't cut it, compare pickup truck rentals and choose the heavy-duty option that matches the job.

Three standouts set the 2500 apart: Cummins diesel torque, a composed ride, and a heavy-duty build.
The available High-Output 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 is the 2500's torque headliner, with 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft. You'll feel that torque when you ease away from a light with a full bed or climb a long highway grade without drama.
Diesel trucks take diesel fuel only, so check the listing before your first fill-up. If you want the most muscle the 2500 offers, look for listings with the Cummins and let the torque do the work. It's the pick for guests who plan to keep the bed loaded for most of the trip.
An available Bilstein shock system helps the 2500 stay composed, so a heavy-duty truck doesn't have to feel harsh on the highway. It's a welcome touch when the bed is loaded and you're covering real miles between stops.
Depending on the listing, you'll find rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive configurations. Four-wheel drive adds confidence on wet or slick pavement, while rear-wheel drive keeps things simple for city errands and highway runs. Either setup is at home on interstates, suburban streets, and long paved stretches across the state.
The 2500 is a big truck, and its numbers prove it. Max GVWR — the most the truck, passengers, and cargo can weigh combined — reaches 11,040 lbs. Curb weight starts around 6,394 lbs before you add a single passenger or box.
Know its size before you drive: more mass means more momentum, so plan wider turns, longer stops, and parking spots with room to spare. Weight varies by configuration, so check the listing for the cab style and drivetrain you're getting. Respect the size, and you'll drive with calm, practiced confidence.

Turo doesn't accept expired or provisional licenses, learner's permits, or photocopies, and an International Driving Permit (IDP) can't replace your license.
Minimum age depends on the 2500's value: 18 or older for standard vehicles and 21 or older for vehicles worth more than $20,000. Deluxe vehicles require drivers 25 or older. Turo uses your age at booking, and drivers 18–24 pay a young driver fee.
