Everything about this trip was great

Horrible host. Went to put the gas and the cover fell off. I’ve been driving for years and it doesn’t just come off. Reached out to the host, informed them of the issue and tried to resolve it with them. Offered to order and replace it; the part I offered he said it couldn’t be painted; cool I went through Mazda directly. One day after I returned and communicated with the house there was an invoice for $150 with a due date at the end of them month. I offered to pay directly to the host and he lied and said I couldn’t but Turo verified it was an option. I was at work when the host wrote me and didn’t see the message; basically told me if it wasn’t paid that day they would cancel and turn it to Turo. Based off his tone I told him told him I was at work and do what he needed to do. I know for a fact the gas cover was broke prior to me getting. I was still willing to fix it because I had the car but the bullying tone was wrong.
There was no issue with the gas cap prior to the guest’s trip. The guest requested to handle payment for the damage claim outside of Turo, which we declined as it violates Turo’s Terms of Service. We communicated with the guest professionally throughout the process and attempted to resolve the matter through the app. After the invoice and follow-up messages were sent, the guest stopped responding, so the claim was escalated to Turo for proper handling. This is in retaliation to the damage.

We wish you had reached out during your trip, as we would have promptly replaced the wipes for you, Regarding the dashboard light, it was not a check engine light but a routine service reminder for an oil change that wasn’t due for another 2,000 miles, which we communicated when asked. We responded quickly to all questions, and the vehicle was thoroughly cleaned prior to your trip. We always strive to provide a great experience for all our guests!
