Based off of the age of car, location, car features and price I believe this is one of the best deals on Turo. The rental process went smooth from pickup to drop off. The car itself was great, clean, spacious, and comfortable enough for our group of 5 adults and 2 kids. It worked perfectly during the 5 days we rented it, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the trip. The only downside was the pickup and drop-off experience. The pickup location, Sunrise Parking near LAX, was inconvenient. We had to wait around 45 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up after arrival. Returning the car was even more frustrating. The staff at the front gate told me it would be at least a 30-minute wait for the next shuttle and suggested I walk back to the airport instead. I ended up walking about 15 minutes, which fortunately worked out because I had already dropped off my family and luggage beforehand and had enough time before my flight. Otherwise, this could have caused a major issue. I’m leaving a 5-star rating because the car and host delivered a great experience. However, Turo should address the transportation issues related to this pickup location, as it impacts the overall rental experience.
First let me say, Innocent was a very good host. It was a first time for both of us, he for hosting, and me for renting from Turo. I could not ask for a more pleasant experience. The vehicle was immaculate and very comfortable. We picked it up at the time agreed from a location that was a short distance from us. Innocent described many of the features and ensured I had no questions remaining. The fact that it was a hybrid was the best feature. It had a full tank when I picked it up, and took less than three gallons of gas to restore to a full tank when I dropped the vehicle off. Innocent had mentioned he generally put premium gas in it to try and maintain it in the best condition. However, he made clear premium gas was not required. Well, because of how well I was treated, and the great overall experience we had, I filled it back up with premium. Even with current gas prices in California, it was a minimal expense, given the fuel efficiency. Honestly, the worst part of the whole experience was some hiccups with the Turo account and app, but Turo helped rather quickly via live chat to correct them. I definitely recommend using Turo, and if you are lucky enough to rent from Innocent, do not hesitate.
