Classic car rental in Canada is about more than just getting from A to B — it’s about slipping behind the wheel of a vehicle that turns every head on the street. Whether you’re planning a wedding day, staging photo shoots, or simply chasing a memorable ride for the fun of it, a classic car can transform the occasion.
On Turo, you’ll find vintage car rentals that are as unique as the stories they carry. Each booking gives you the chance to enjoy a slice of automotive history, all while skipping the stuffy rental counter. It’s a way to fit your budget, share an unforgettable experience with friends or guests, and add the kind of stylish details that make memories last.
There’s no shortage of occasions where a classic car makes sense — and plenty where it makes you the star of the show. From weddings to vacations, these vehicles add just the right mix of style and substance.
Nothing says “this is our moment” quite like pulling up to your ceremony in a vintage car. It sets the tone for your wedding day, makes the photos instantly iconic, and offers guests a stylish backdrop they’ll remember long after the champagne runs dry.
For a romantic vacation, trade in the standard rental car for a vehicle with character. Cruising through winding roads in a classic convertible adds a little drama to the journey — and makes the destination feel even more special.
From birthdays to anniversaries, a classic car rental adds a layer of magic to life’s biggest moments. Arriving in a vintage ride transforms an ordinary celebration into an event you’ll never forget — and makes sure the memories are just as stylish as the occasion itself.
From iconic coupes to stylish convertibles, classic car rentals in Canada come in shapes and styles as varied as their drivers. Here are a few favourites you might find on the Turo website.
The Ford Mustang is a true classic, equal parts fun and unmistakably stylish. It’s perfect for photo shoots, weekend rides, or creating an instantly dramatic wedding experience. With its powerful presence and iconic silhouette, this vehicle transforms any event into a memorable occasion.
A Chevrolet Camaro brings vintage muscle to the table. Guests will appreciate the timeless design, while you’ll enjoy the throaty growl that makes every ride feel alive. It’s a great option for anyone looking to balance nostalgia with excitement.
The Volkswagen Beetle is beloved for its charm and character. Ideal for weddings, photo shoots, or simply creating unforgettable memories with friends, this classic is less about speed and more about the quirky fun that comes with every kilometre.

You don’t need personal insurance coverage to book a car on Turo. If you do have your own auto insurance policy, the protection plan you select — purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — will supplement your existing coverage.*
When booking a car on Turo, you’ll choose between three protection plans — Premier, Standard, or Minimum — to get the level of coverage that’s right for you. With each plan, you’re covered with liability insurance purchased from Economical Insurance Company in Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, and Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) in British Columbia — $2,000,000 for all plans.
On your Account page, make sure you’ve checked the box to receive email notifications, and enable push notifications from the Turo app in your phone settings — we’ll send you occasional promotions, discounts, and deals on car rental.
Yes there is — whether you want to rent a car for three days, three months, or even longer, you can on Turo. You’ll find discounted prices on bookings lasting 3+, 7+, or 30+ days, so you can get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips.
Some hosts offer unlimited distance for a trip; others set a daily distance limit — you’ll need to check on each rental car individually to see if this service is provided. On the vehicle pages, you’ll see the total miles or kilometres you’re allowed to drive under the heading “Distance included.” You can find cars offering unlimited mileage with every trip by using the “Unlimited distance” filter.
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
You can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts, unless you opt to receive a non-refundable trip discount when you book. If you book a trip with less than 24 hours’ notice, you have one hour after booking to cancel free of charge. If you cancel after the free cancellation period ends, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
In the rare event a host cancels, you’ll be notified immediately so you can book another car, or we’ll help you find one. Your refund can be temporarily held to expedite rebooking, or the funds can be returned to your bank account — your choice.
