The car was fantastic, hosts were incredibly responsive, answered any questions within a very short time. The car did what I needed it to, got us around for three weeks. The car had some lights come on that I was unaware of before hand, and in talking tot he host they assured me they were just sensors that weren’t working, not actual mechanical problems. My only issue is with Turo, not with the host. I declined coverage because I have rental Coverage through my own insurance, and was still charged for that. Additionally I was charged for an “airport convenience fee”. When I searched for cars, I put the airport as my pickup and drop off location, and was given a “price including taxes and fees” which was just under $700. My final payment price ended up being over $1100, and a big chunk of that was the airport fee which was not disclosed at the time of booking.
Clean car, responsive host. Good value. No issues with car or rental process.

Who is monthly car rental in Provo for?
Just relocated to Provo
You landed a role at one of the Silicon Slopes companies — Qualtrics, Vivint, or a growing startup along the I-15 corridor — and you're still figuring out the commute, the neighborhood, and whether Provo is where you'll stay long term. A monthly car rental gives you reliable transport from day one without locking into a purchase before you know the lay of the land. Utah County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the country, and plenty of newcomers are in the same boat.
Lease just ended — or just sold your car
You're between cars and taking your time deciding what comes next. Maybe you're weighing a used car purchase, maybe you're not sure yet. An extended car rental in Provo bridges the gap — drive what you need for one month or several, and walk away whenever you're ready, with no penalties and no pressure to rush a decision.
Extended work assignment or traveling professional
Traveling nurses at Utah Valley Hospital, contractors on Silicon Slopes projects, remote workers settling into Provo for a defined stretch — if you're here for 10 weeks, three months, or longer, a monthly rental is far more competitive than stacking daily rates. You get a car you've chosen, at a transparent monthly price, for exactly as long as the assignment lasts.
Post-college or first car
You just graduated from BYU or UVU, your budget is tight, and your credit history is thin. Buying a car means a loan, ongoing maintenance, and costs you're not ready for. A monthly car rental in Provo gives you practical, affordable wheels — a reliable sedan or compact SUV — without the financial commitment of ownership.
If you're flying into PVU on Breeze Airways or arriving via a connecting flight, you can arrange to pick up your monthly rental near the airport. It's a small regional airport, so you won't find a traditional rental counter — but with Turo, everything is arranged digitally and coordinated through the app before you land.
The Center Street area is Provo's walkable core — restaurants, coworking spaces, and the FrontRunner commuter rail station that connects you to Salt Lake City. If you're living or working downtown, a monthly rental means you can handle the daily drives that Provo's layout demands without committing to a car purchase while you're still settling in.
Just north of Provo along the State Street corridor, Orem is a major commercial hub with affordable housing, UVU's campus, and easy I-15 access. If you're renting an apartment in Orem and commuting to work in Lehi or Salt Lake City, a monthly car rental keeps you mobile without the upfront cost of buying — especially when you're still figuring out how long you'll stay.

Provo is a car-dependent city with a Walk Score around 45, so having reliable wheels isn't optional. Here's what to know before booking your monthly rental.
Set your trip length to 30 days or more to unlock the deepest discounts — many listings in Provo also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. Browse by price range, compare options across neighborhoods, and book in advance when you can. The longer you commit, the lower your per-day cost.
Think about what you'll actually use it for. If you're commuting on I-15 daily, fuel efficiency matters. If you need cargo space for weekend errands, a compact SUV like a Honda CR-V or Hyundai Tucson fits the bill. For everyday driving, reliable sedans and hatchbacks tend to offer the best monthly value.
I-15 is the lifeline connecting Provo to Salt Lake City, and commuter traffic gets heavy during peak hours. Winter weather from November through March means snow and ice on roads — especially canyon routes heading toward Sundance or Heber. Consider a car with good traction, and check whether snow tires are included.
Downtown has metered street parking and public garages, with monthly garage passes available if you're renting long term. BYU runs its own parking permit system. Residential areas across Provo and Orem generally have free street parking, so where you live will shape how much parking costs you.
Utah has no toll roads — that's one less thing to budget for as a monthly renter. Whether you're commuting on I-15 to Salt Lake City or running errands around Utah County, you won't hit a single tollbooth.
Gas prices in Utah typically run below the national average, which helps keep monthly driving costs down. If you're booking an electric vehicle, EV charging options are available in the Provo area and along the I-15 corridor — check your preferred charging network's app for station locations near your pickup spot.
You'll find practical, everyday vehicles that make sense for monthly driving — Toyota Camrys, Honda CR-Vs, Hyundai Tucsons, Kia Fortes, and other reliable sedans and compact SUVs. For commuters, fuel-efficient options keep your monthly costs low. Filter by price, features, and pickup location to find the right fit.
Whether you want to rent a car for a month in Provo or stay for several months, rentals on Turo get cheaper the longer you book. Trips of 30 days or more unlock the deepest discounts, and many listings also offer reduced rates for seven-day and 14-day bookings. About 60% of available monthly supply in Provo is priced under $800 per month, with a median around $1,300 per month. You'll see the total price before you book — no hidden fees, no surprise charges at the end.
No. Turo doesn't require a credit check to book a monthly car rental in Provo. You'll need a valid driver's license, and the booking process is entirely online — no finance applications, no waiting for approval.
Yes. If your plans change and you need the car beyond your original booking in Provo, you can request a trip extension directly through the Turo app. Many rentals in Provo can be extended with just a few taps.
If you need a different vehicle partway through your monthly rental in Provo, you can end your current trip and book a new one. This gives you the flexibility to switch from a sedan to an SUV — or vice versa — whenever your needs change.
You'll need a valid driver's license to book a car on Turo in Provo. International visitors may also need a passport. Everything else — from booking to payment — is handled digitally through the app.
A valid, non-expired driver's license issued by your state or country. If your license is issued outside the US, check Turo's international driver requirements before booking your monthly rental in Provo.
Turo offers multiple protection plans you can select when booking your monthly rental in Provo. Each plan covers different levels of reimbursement for physical damage. You can choose the plan that fits your comfort level and budget before confirming your trip.
Mileage policies are set by each individual car listing in Provo. Many cars include a daily mileage allowance, and some offer unlimited distance. If you're commuting regularly in Provo, use the "Unlimited distance" filter when browsing to find the right fit.
Yes. Many Provo listings offer discounted rates for trips of seven days, 14 days, and 30 days or more. The longer you book, the more you save — so monthly rentals in Provo typically offer the best per-day value.
The primary driver must be the person who booked the trip. You can add an additional driver through the Turo app in Provo, as long as they meet Turo's driver requirements and are approved before the trip begins.
For many people — especially those needing a car for one to three months — a monthly rental on Turo in Provo can be significantly more affordable than a lease. Leases typically require a down payment, monthly payments, and maintenance costs that add up fast. With Turo, you see the full price upfront, pay month to month, and walk away whenever you're done — no penalties, no depreciation, no long-term financial commitment.
