Great truck, drove it more than a week. The only thing to be aware of is the truck is offsite. Matthew did arrange an Uber to get my family to the vehicle. Matthew very easy to work with. Thanks Matthew.

Perfect for what I needed. Carried a couch and boxes a few kms away. Workhorse
Perfect car for our day trip. Owner was easy going and helpful. Would use again!
The car was amazing. Very friendly hosts with a very easy check in process. The hosts had excellent communication and were easy to deal with. Would recommend for anyone considering hiring this car.

Great truck for two months! A little hiccup at the start with getting an Uber, but made it in the end.
Brilliant way to get around. Everything provided and great service by host to boot.

Good thank you.. next time definitely hire again.. easy and smooth ride.
I have rented this Ute twice now for moving items! It’s awesome and Pete and his hosts make the process so seamless and easy.

I had a Great First Drive with Turo and the UR Drive Host. Easy Handover and Pick-up. Will definitely Recommend and Use the Service again. Thank You

Great car for the price, didn't use the bed but 5 people sit comfortably in the car. Matthew was a great host, answers quickly and we had an issue with a screw in the tire that got fixed quickly.
So grateful for all their help. My first time renting through Turo and they were great to work with. Smooth truck clean and best owners to work with. Thank you!! Wish we could've booked longer but we will definitely use them again when we are in town

Car was exceptionally clean and great to drive. Location was very convenient and the hosts quick communication made it incredibly easy to pick up and drop off. Would love to rent this car again.

Vehicle was superb for our journey across Australia! We had lots of luggage and two little girls + car seat with us so the truck was able to easily fit everything we needed and it’s nice the gas tank is so big we only had to fill up a couple times. Hosts were very communicative and reminded us key aspects to driving in Australia and getting diesel. Overall a great experience.

Alex was awesome! Very responsive and helpful when I was having trouble with the return at the airport. I’d definitely rent from him again. The truck was so fun, perfect size for all our bags.

10/10 rent cars regularly from them and they couldn’t be better like my 5th car now
Hiring a ute in Surry Hills offers unmatched flexibility for urban tasks. These versatile vehicles excel at hauling furniture, transporting renovation materials, or moving house within the bustling suburb. Utes are ideal for navigating Surry Hills' narrow streets while providing ample cargo space. Their compact size makes parking easier compared to larger trucks, perfect for quick loading and unloading in this busy area.
The Blue Mountains, just a short drive from Surry Hills, offer a perfect escape for ute enthusiasts. The winding roads and steep inclines of this World Heritage area are well-suited for a robust ute. Navigate through the eucalyptus forests to reach iconic lookouts like Echo Point, where you can marvel at the Three Sisters. A ute's tray is perfect for transporting mountain bikes or camping gear, allowing you to fully explore hidden trails and secluded campsites. Remember to check your ute's tyre pressure and brakes before tackling the mountain roads.
Surry Hills is experiencing a construction renaissance, with numerous renovation and building projects underway. The suburb's transformation has created a high demand for ute hire among tradies and DIY enthusiasts. Utes are essential for transporting tools, materials, and equipment to job sites scattered throughout the area. Their manoeuvrability is crucial when navigating the narrow laneways and tight parking spots common in Surry Hills. Many construction zones are located near Crown Street and Cleveland Street, where utes prove invaluable for quick material deliveries and waste removal.
Centennial Parklands, a stone's throw from Surry Hills, is a perfect destination for ute hirers seeking outdoor activities. The parklands' vast green spaces and lakes are ideal for picnics, sports, and leisurely drives. A ute's spacious tray is perfect for transporting bicycles, picnic gear, or sports equipment. Drive along Grand Drive to explore the park's diverse landscapes, from formal gardens to wild grassy areas. The ute's higher clearance is handy for navigating any unpaved areas within the park. Remember to adhere to the park's speed limits and parking regulations.
When hiring a ute in Surry Hills, consider the vehicle's size and fuel efficiency for urban driving. Opt for a dual cab if you need to transport both passengers and cargo. Check the ute's load capacity to ensure it meets your needs, especially for construction or moving tasks. Familiarise yourself with the vehicle's dimensions to navigate Surry Hills' narrow streets confidently. Look for utes with reverse cameras and parking sensors, which are invaluable in this bustling suburb. Always secure your load properly and be aware of height restrictions in underground car parks.
Surry Hills offers several convenient pickup locations for truck hire, catering to various needs. Central areas near Crown Street and Cleveland Street are popular for guests seeking easy access to the neighbourhood's bustling cafes and boutiques. These spots are ideal for those moving furniture or transporting goods for local businesses. For guests requiring larger vehicles, pickup points near Moore Park provide ample space for manoeuvring trucks. Hosts on Turo often offer flexible pickup options, including locations near public transport hubs like Central Station, perfect for those without personal transportation. Some hosts even provide delivery services, bringing the hired truck directly to your doorstep in Surry Hills. Whether you need a ute for a quick job or a dual cab for a longer haul, you'll find suitable pickup locations throughout this vibrant Sydney suburb.
Navigating a large truck through Surry Hills' narrow streets requires careful attention. Firstly, familiarise yourself with the truck's dimensions and turning radius. Use your mirrors frequently and be aware of overhanging trees or street signs. When approaching tight corners, take them wide and slow to avoid clipping kerbs. Be patient and courteous to other drivers, as manoeuvring may take time. Consider planning your route in advance to avoid the narrowest streets where possible. Parking can be challenging, so look for designated truck parking areas or wider streets. Remember, Surry Hills has many one-way streets, so pay close attention to signage. Lastly, if you're not confident, consider opting for a smaller vehicle or ute hire that may be easier to handle in urban environments.
Luxury pickup trucks offer a significant upgrade in comfort and technology compared to standard models. The interiors often feature premium materials like leather upholstery and wood trim, providing a more refined cabin experience. Seats are typically more supportive and may include heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Advanced infotainment systems with larger touchscreens, premium sound systems, and smartphone integration are common. Many luxury trucks come equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and 360-degree camera systems for enhanced safety. Suspension systems are often more sophisticated, offering a smoother ride even when carrying heavy loads. Some models may include air suspension for adjustable ride height. Climate control systems are usually multi-zone and more effective. While these features add to the comfort, it's important to consider your specific needs when choosing between a luxury and standard truck hire in Surry Hills.
Surry Hills offers excellent access to scenic routes perfect for a truck adventure. The Grand Pacific Drive, starting just south of Sydney, offers breathtaking coastal views and passes through charming towns. For a mountain experience, head to the Blue Mountains, where you can enjoy winding roads through lush forests and dramatic landscapes. The Hawkesbury region, north of Sydney, provides a mix of rural charm and riverside scenery, ideal for a relaxed drive. If you're up for a longer journey, the Kosciuszko Alpine Way offers stunning mountain vistas and is suitable for larger vehicles. When planning your route, consider the size of your hired truck and check for any vehicle restrictions. Remember to take breaks at scenic lookouts and small towns along the way. Always ensure your truck is suitable for the terrain and pack appropriately for changing weather conditions in these diverse landscapes.
When hiring a modern truck in New South Wales, prioritise safety features that enhance your driving experience. Look for vehicles equipped with electronic stability control and anti-lock braking systems, which are crucial for maintaining control, especially on winding roads around Surry Hills. Advanced driver assistance systems like lane departure warnings and blind-spot monitoring are valuable for navigating busy urban areas. Adaptive cruise control can be helpful on longer highway stretches. Ensure the truck has a robust airbag system, including side and curtain airbags. A backup camera is essential for parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces, common in Surry Hills. Hill-start assist can be particularly useful in Sydney's hilly terrain. Check for tyre pressure monitoring systems and ensure the truck has good quality, well-maintained tyres. Lastly, consider vehicles with emergency braking systems for added peace of mind during your travels in New South Wales.
Driving a full-size truck on highways requires different techniques compared to a regular car. The increased weight and size of the truck mean longer stopping distances, so maintain a greater following distance from other vehicles. Wind resistance is more significant, affecting fuel efficiency and handling, especially on exposed stretches of highway. Be mindful of crosswinds, which can push larger vehicles more easily. Changing lanes requires more time and space, so signal well in advance and check blind spots carefully. When ascending hills, you may need to shift to a lower gear to maintain speed. On descents, use engine braking to control your speed and reduce wear on the brakes. Parking at rest stops or service stations may require more planning due to the truck's size. Always be aware of your vehicle's height when approaching overpasses or entering tunnels. Lastly, remember that trucks have a higher centre of gravity, so take curves more slowly to maintain stability.
When selecting a truck in Surry Hills, consider your specific requirements carefully. Assess the payload capacity you need — whether you're moving furniture or transporting building materials. Think about the type of driving you'll be doing; a smaller ute might be more suitable for navigating narrow city streets, while a larger truck could be better for highway trips. Consider fuel efficiency, especially if you plan long journeys. Automatic transmission can be easier in stop-start city traffic. If you need to transport a crew, look for dual cab options. For those carrying valuable or weather-sensitive items, a truck with a covered cargo area might be essential. Consider the parking situation at your destination and home — ensure you have space for the truck size you choose. Lastly, think about comfort features like air conditioning and power steering, which can make a big difference in the Australian climate. Choose a vehicle that balances functionality with comfort for your Surry Hills adventures.
Proper load distribution and weight management are crucial when using a hired truck. Start by placing heavier items at the bottom and towards the front of the cargo area, distributing weight evenly from side to side. This low centre of gravity improves stability and handling. Secure all items properly to prevent shifting during transport, using appropriate tie-downs or straps. Be mindful of the truck's maximum payload capacity and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) — never exceed these limits. When loading, consider the order in which you'll need to unload items at your destination. For long items like timber or pipes, use a roof rack if available, ensuring they're securely fastened. If you're unsure about weight distribution, consult the truck's manual or ask for guidance. Remember, an improperly loaded truck can affect braking, steering, and fuel efficiency. By following these practices, you'll ensure a safer, more efficient journey in your hired truck around Surry Hills and beyond.
Navigating Surry Hills with a full-size truck requires careful planning and awareness of urban constraints. First, familiarise yourself with the truck's height and compare it to common restrictions in the area. Many parking structures and some underpasses in Surry Hills have height limits that may not accommodate larger vehicles. Plan your route in advance, avoiding narrow streets and areas with low clearances. Use a GPS system specifically designed for trucks, which can alert you to height restrictions and suggest appropriate routes. Be extra cautious when approaching bridges or entering covered areas. When parking, look for designated areas that can accommodate larger vehicles, such as loading zones or open-air car parks. Always be aware of your surroundings, watching for overhanging trees, signs, or awnings that could pose a hazard. If you're unsure about a particular route or area, it's best to err on the side of caution and find an alternative path. Remember, manoeuvring in tight spaces may require patience and sometimes assistance from a spotter.
