The all-new sixth-generation 2026 RAV4 is a compact five-seat SUV with a hybrid-only lineup and up to 43 mpg combined. It's the efficient pick in any Toyota car rental search — fewer fuel stops, more time for the trip itself.
On Turo, you book your RAV4 from a local vehicle owner and choose pickup and drop-off that fit your plans. Filter by year and trim to find the exact RAV4 you want.

Every 2026 RAV4 runs on hybrid power, making 226 hp with front-wheel drive or 236 hp with all-wheel drive. You'll see up to 43 mpg combined, so long drives go easy on your fuel budget. The plug-in hybrid raises output to 324 hp and adds up to 54 miles of EPA-estimated all-electric range.
Every 2026 RAV4 gives you a standard 10.5-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Some grades step up to an available 12.9-inch touchscreen, so check the listing if screen size matters to you.
The bigger story sits under the glass. This RAV4 is the first model from the brand built on Arene software, so the cockpit feels current the moment you settle in. Take a minute to pair your phone and set your route before you leave — then your focus stays on the road.
You get 37.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, enough for luggage, groceries, and a cooler. Fold the rear seats and that opens up to 70.4 cubic feet for bulkier gear.
With five seats, the RAV4 fits a family or a small group without squeezing anyone. Pack the suitcases, stroller, and beach chairs, and you'll still have room for a last-minute farmers market haul. It's a practical setup for weekend getaways, airport runs, and family visits — trips where you'd rather bring too much than too little.
A RAV4 fits trips that call for space and efficiency in equal measure. Use it for city errands on Friday and a weekend road trip on Saturday, or bring the family along for a week of sightseeing. Browse more SUV rentals on Turo to compare sizes and styles for your next trip.

Three highlights define the 2026 RAV4: standard safety tech, a trim for every trip, and a bold design with real towing capability.
The 2026 RAV4 is the first vehicle with this latest version of the safety suite, and it comes standard on every grade. Whether you book an LE or a Limited, you get the same driver-assist foundation.
That's good news when you're comparing listings, since you don't need to hunt for a specific trim to get the newest safety package. Pick the RAV4 that fits your budget and style instead. Before you set out, spend a few minutes learning the alerts and settings so every chime makes sense on unfamiliar roads.
The 2026 RAV4 comes in six trims: LE, SE, XLE Premium, Woodland, XSE, and Limited. The plug-in hybrid adds a GR Sport grade to the lineup. Trims vary by listing, so check the details before you book — that way, you'll know exactly which RAV4 you're picking up.
The SE with front-wheel drive delivers the headline figure of up to 43 mpg combined, and every grade runs on hybrid power. Want more power and electric-only driving? The plug-in hybrid SE offers 324 hp and up to 54 miles of EPA-estimated all-electric range.
The 2026 RAV4 wears a hammerhead front end, a contoured hood, and angular fenders. A flat roofline, chiseled doors, and an upright rear give it a squared-off stance that reads confident from every angle.
The design backs up its looks with capability: upper all-wheel-drive grades tow up to 3,500 lbs, and lower grades handle up to 1,750 lbs. That's enough for a small trailer on a weekend move. If towing is part of your plan, confirm the grade and towing setup on the listing before you book.

I cannot express how grateful I am. This car was great overall to the point I want to buy one now haha. It was great on gas and got me to my destination with no problems. The host helped me with any questions or concerns I had and even dropped off the car and picked up at a location convenient to me. Recommend them so much. Thank you!!!

Car was in excellent shape and handled really well in city. Traffic would definitely rent again.

This suv was perfect for what we needed to do in LA. Clean and tidy with no smells. Karen was awesome to work with and flexible in meeting us at the Amtrak station for delivering the suv! Thank you so much. Will rent from you again next trip. Thanks. — David and Dawn
The host is easy to talk to and very responsive. Car was perfectly maintained and presented exactly as described. Will definitely rent again

Car was in perfect condition, as shown in images.. Great communication. Will book again!

Great rental, excellent gas mileage, priced affordable. Commutative host. Will rent again

The pickup location was in a good and safe neighborhood. The car was dirty on the outside, so I let the owner know “I will return the car as is.” They were gracious enough to agree. The trip was excellent, the car drives very well, and has a nice “get up” speed. I highly recommend, and 10/10 would use again, if they would have me.

A little prep goes a long way with a RAV4. Know which version you're booking, plan around summer demand, and get comfortable with the hybrid system before you go.
The RAV4 is the compact, five-seat SUV in the lineup. If you need a third row, look at the three-row Toyota Highlander. For truck-style construction, try the body-on-frame Toyota 4Runner, and if you don't need SUV space, the midsize Toyota Camry sedan is another option.
The 2026 model year is a full redesign, so check the year and trim on each listing. Older RAV4s may have different specs, screens, and features. You'll also want to confirm whether you're booking the hybrid or the plug-in hybrid.
Book early if you're traveling in summer. Searches for RAV4 rentals peak May–August, so the best options can go fast.
Once you're behind the wheel, take a few minutes to learn the hybrid and electric driving modes. If you book the plug-in hybrid, plan your charging stops around its up to 54 miles of all-electric range.
Each local vehicle owner sets the price for their RAV4. Your total depends on the model year, trip length, location, and any extras you add, and you'll see mandatory fees upfront before you book.
You can save in a few ways. Book four or more days ahead and you can choose a 10% non-refundable discount. Many listings also offer duration discounts for three-day, weekly, and monthly trips.
Planning to keep the RAV4 for a month or more? Trips of 30 days or longer skip the trip fee, with limited exceptions in parts of Los Angeles and New York. Learn more about long-term car rental on Turo.
