Marvin was fantastic and very accommodating and easy to deal with. The car was brand new , only 60km on the clock , so was in excellent condition. We had to extend our reservation a number of times and it was easy to do this with Marvin .An absolute pleasure to drive this vehicle around town and on the open road. Fuel consumption was great as this is a hybrid vehicle. I would highly recommend this vehicle and Marvin.
David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)

Good value for the price. However the owner seems to not see the messages (comments on dirty inside), we only received automatic messages.

Marvin is a great host, car is easily one of the best cars i have driven, great fuel economy, smooth ride and of course extremely comfortable, 10/10 would recommend and definitely be renting through Marvin again!!!
Fun little car to do a day trip! Easy pickup location and great communication with host! 10/10 would rent again

Great little car to drive for our long weekend trip. Easy pick up, good communication from host, easy simple hire - thank you!

Fantastic guy to deal with. Yaris was great to drive, super cheap to run and comfortable. Owner is super easy to deal with! Would definitely recommend and use again. 🙂
The car rental process was very easy and smooth. Suraj, the owner, personally brought the car key to the meeting point, which I really appreciated. I prefer this much more than using a lockbox, as I’ve had issues with passcodes before. The car was clean, easy to use, and very comfortable to drive. Communication with the owner was excellent — he was easy to contact and replied to messages quickly. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this rental.
Yang Yang was great, pick up was super easy and the car was clean and great for a little road trip!

Super grateful for the amazing zippy car and super useful within the city.. thank you so much Lochlan for your help and communication for my first time using the app

Car was neat and tidy, easy to ride. Liang is very responsive. The check in and out procedure process was perfect. Thank you Liang
Great experience. The car was fantastic. Very clear instructions to pick up the car and drop the car off. Will definitely be using the service again.
Car was full of fuel and didn't let me down. Good service and a good way to experience a new car

Great experience! The car was clean, pick-up and return were easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!
Khaja is flexible and customer friendly, pick-up and drop-off were fine. The car is small, but that's why it's great for two people with luggage or four people with few luggage.

For city driving and easy parking, a compact or mid-size car is ideal, offering good fuel efficiency for Melbourne's urban landscape. If you're planning to venture along the coast or into the countryside, consider an SUV for its versatility and comfort on varied road conditions. For groups or families, a spacious van can accommodate everyone comfortably. Electric vehicles are also a great eco-friendly option, with charging stations becoming more prevalent in Victoria. While driving in Williamstown is generally straightforward, there are a few situations to be mindful of. The historic nature of the town means some streets can be narrow, requiring extra caution, especially when parking. During peak tourist seasons, the influx of visitors can lead to increased traffic, particularly around popular spots like Nelson Place and the waterfront. Be aware of pedestrians and cyclists, as Williamstown is a popular area for outdoor activities. Tram lines in nearby Melbourne suburbs can be tricky for those unfamiliar with them - always give way to trams and watch for passengers boarding and alighting. Roundabouts are common, so brush up on the rules if you're not used to them. Having a car hire in Williamstown allows for easy exploration, but staying alert to these local driving conditions ensures a smooth experience.
Williamstown has several fuel stations conveniently located for drivers. The main service stations can be found along Melbourne Road and Ferguson Street, offering standard unleaded, premium unleaded, and diesel options. It's worth noting that some stations may close earlier in the evening, so plan accordingly if you're returning late from a day trip. For those with electric vehicles, charging stations are becoming more common in the greater Melbourne area, though they're still limited in Williamstown itself. When venturing out of town in your hired car, it's advisable to keep your tank at least half full, especially if heading into more rural areas. Most stations accept major credit cards, but having some cash on hand is always a good idea. Remember, fuel prices can fluctuate, so comparing prices between stations can help you find the best deal.
Preparing for Williamstown's weather while driving is essential for a safe and enjoyable trip. Melbourne's famous "four seasons in one day" can affect Williamstown too, so flexibility is key. In summer, ensure your rental car's air conditioning is working properly to combat the heat. For winter drives, be prepared for occasional frosty mornings by allowing extra time to defrost windows. Rain can occur year-round, so check that your windscreen wipers are in good condition. It's wise to keep sunglasses handy for bright days and a light jacket for sudden cool changes. When planning longer drives from Williamstown, always check the weather forecast and road conditions. Having a car hire gives you the freedom to adjust your plans according to the weather, ensuring you can make the most of your visit to this beautiful coastal town.

Pack a cooler with snacks and water to keep energy levels up. Don't forget to bring a physical map as a backup to GPS, especially when venturing into more remote areas. Check your hired car's features before setting off, ensuring you're familiar with all controls. It's also wise to have a basic understanding of Victorian road rules and signs. Remember, having a car hire in Williamstown provides the flexibility to explore these attractions at your own pace, making for a truly personalised adventure.
