Hyundai i30 2013

David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)

The car rental process was very easy and smooth. Suraj, the owner, personally brought the car key to the meeting point, which I really appreciated. I prefer this much more than using a lockbox, as I’ve had issues with passcodes before. The car was clean, easy to use, and very comfortable to drive. Communication with the owner was excellent — he was easy to contact and replied to messages quickly. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this rental.

Great car, runs smoothly and good to get around the city and out of the city on a longer haul. Some minor parts not quite at full function such as the side mirror tilting (this could be fixed by changing the angle by hand) but primarily these were cosmetic. Pick up was really easy, once I figured out the lock box, bluetooth functionality worked and car was comfortable and warm to drive, and clean to arrive at. Overall great value and great location, would rent again.

This is possibly my new favourite thing regarding car hire, I only came across Turo last week, when I need to book a car late Sunday night for an early Monday start, and could not find any of the traditional car hire places open or able to accomodate, unless I went to the airport. I found Turo and Ajay and booked my car very late Sunday night and hoped for the best for 7am start, Ajay responded immediately, a convenient pick up location, a super convenient process, car was immaculate, and to top it all off, I was able to end the journey at my place and Ajay came and met me at mine to take back the car, so I did not have to worry about transport back to mine. Phenonemal platform and even more than phenomenal host, I willl never use a traditional car hire place again, (note here that not every Turo experience seems great with lots of hosts appearing to cancel with little notice, not Ajay) book, book, book ... highly highly recommended.

Brilliant car. Honestly one of the best ive driven. It is very fuel efficient but gutsy at the same time. This car is more than it first appears to be on the surface, genuinely loaded with features and yet it sips fuel. Would definitely drive this again so thank you to the owner for the opportunity.

Navigating Melbourne's busy city centre during peak hours requires some strategic planning. Utilise real-time traffic apps to stay informed about congestion and accidents. Consider adjusting your travel times to avoid the busiest periods, typically between 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM. If possible, use Melbourne's well-designed system of trams and trains to complement your car rental, especially for trips to the central business district. Drivers in Middle Park and surrounding areas will find fuel readily available. There are several petrol stations within a short drive, including options on Canterbury Road and Punt Road. It's advisable to fuel up before embarking on longer trips outside the city. Many stations offer 24-hour service, especially along major routes. When exploring more remote areas of Victoria, plan your refuelling stops in advance, as stations may be less frequent. Some stations in tourist areas might have slightly higher prices, so it's worth checking apps for the best deals. Remember, in Australia, fuel is sold by the litre, not gallon. Most stations accept credit cards, making refuelling your hired car convenient. Always keep your tank at least quarter full to avoid any fuel-related stress during your Middle Park adventures.

Parking can be competitive, with strict time limits and clearways that change during peak hours. Cyclists are prevalent, so maintain awareness, especially when opening car doors. During events at Albert Park, traffic can increase significantly. Roundabouts are common and may operate differently from other countries. Familiarising yourself with these local driving quirks will enhance your car rental experience in Middle Park and surrounding areas.

What are some key tips for driving safely in various weather conditions common to Victoria?

Victoria's weather can be unpredictable, so it's crucial to be prepared when driving your hired car from Middle Park. In rainy conditions, which are common, reduce your speed and increase following distances. Be cautious of flash flooding on low-lying roads. During hot summer days, be aware of the increased risk of bushfires, especially when driving in rural areas. Always check fire danger ratings before travelling. In winter, some areas may experience fog or frost, particularly in the early morning. Use fog lights when necessary and be wary of black ice on roads. Strong winds can affect vehicle handling, especially on bridges or open roads. Always check weather forecasts before long drives and adjust your plans accordingly. These precautions will help ensure a safe and enjoyable driving experience throughout Victoria's diverse climate zones.
