David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)
The car rental process was very easy and smooth. Suraj, the owner, personally brought the car key to the meeting point, which I really appreciated. I prefer this much more than using a lockbox, as I’ve had issues with passcodes before. The car was clean, easy to use, and very comfortable to drive. Communication with the owner was excellent — he was easy to contact and replied to messages quickly. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this rental.

Great, very accommodating and easy to deal with. I’d rent from him again.
This is possibly my new favourite thing regarding car hire, I only came across Turo last week, when I need to book a car late Sunday night for an early Monday start, and could not find any of the traditional car hire places open or able to accomodate, unless I went to the airport. I found Turo and Ajay and booked my car very late Sunday night and hoped for the best for 7am start, Ajay responded immediately, a convenient pick up location, a super convenient process, car was immaculate, and to top it all off, I was able to end the journey at my place and Ajay came and met me at mine to take back the car, so I did not have to worry about transport back to mine. Phenonemal platform and even more than phenomenal host, I willl never use a traditional car hire place again, (note here that not every Turo experience seems great with lots of hosts appearing to cancel with little notice, not Ajay) book, book, book ... highly highly recommended.
Amazing value for money! The fuel efficiency was a huge plus and it’s very easy on the pocket. It might not be a luxury car, but it’s much more comfortable than the price suggests. 5 stars!
Fast response times all round the clock, super chill host. Car was spectacular to be in

Great host and excellent car. The vehicle was clean. Smooth communication and an easy pickup/return process. Highly recommended!!

Brilliant vehicle, genuinely surprised at how well it drives as well as the sound. This is a car with character and a brilliant owner who is straight to business. I would highly recommend anyone that needs to hire a car to get this one, there will be no regrets.

Friendly host. Alvin was punctual and patient in explaining how to use the car. He is helpful when contacted with queries.
Easy to deal with, no questions because of the host being professional and informative - highly recommend
Thanks David great easy very affordable, unfussy and close to home Best Felicity

Navigating Melbourne's peak hour traffic from Altona North requires some savvy planning. Consider using real-time traffic apps to stay informed about congestion and alternative routes. If possible, plan your trips outside of the busiest hours, typically 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM on weekdays. Public transport is an excellent option for city centre trips, allowing you to park your Toyota at a station and avoid downtown congestion. For exploring Victoria's diverse landscapes from Altona North, versatile vehicles are ideal. A Toyota Corolla or similar compact car offers good fuel efficiency for city driving and shorter trips. For longer journeys or if you're planning to visit the High Country or Grampians, consider a Toyota Camry or a mid-size SUV for added comfort and stability on varied terrain. These vehicles provide a balance of performance and economy, suitable for both urban and rural driving. If you're venturing to more remote areas or planning beach visits, a 4WD might be beneficial. Electric vehicles are also gaining popularity, with charging stations becoming more common across Victoria. Ultimately, your choice depends on your specific itinerary, but a reliable, fuel-efficient car is generally suitable for most Victorian adventures.
When exploring attractions near Altona North, various parking options are available. Many popular sites offer dedicated parking areas, often with reasonable rates. Consider using park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts of busy areas, combining your car rental with public transport for the final leg. Always check parking signs carefully, as rules can vary. Some shopping centres offer free parking for a few hours, which can be convenient when visiting nearby attractions. Remember to lock your Toyota and avoid leaving valuables visible in the car.
When driving in unfamiliar areas around Altona North and Melbourne, stay alert and follow local traffic rules closely. Familiarise yourself with Australian road signs and speed limits, which are typically in kilometres per hour. Be cautious of trams in Melbourne's inner suburbs and remember to give way to them when required. Watch for cyclists and pedestrians, especially in busy urban areas. When driving at dawn or dusk in rural Victoria, be wary of wildlife on the roads. Always keep left unless overtaking, and use roundabouts correctly. If you're hiring a Toyota, take a moment to familiarise yourself with its features before setting off. Stay focused on the road and avoid distractions. If you're unsure about directions, it's safer to pull over and check your route. Lastly, always wear your seatbelt and ensure all passengers do the same.
Preparing for long-distance drives from Altona North to other parts of Victoria requires thoughtful planning. First, ensure your hired car, whether it's a Toyota Corolla or Camry, is in good condition and you're comfortable with its operation. Plan your route in advance, considering rest stops and fuel stations along the way. Pack essentials like water, snacks, and a first-aid kit. Check the weather forecast and road conditions before departing, especially if travelling to rural or mountainous areas. Take regular breaks to avoid fatigue - aim to stop every two hours or so. If possible, share the driving with a travel companion. Keep your mobile phone charged for emergencies, but avoid using it while driving. Lastly, inform someone of your travel plans and expected arrival time. With proper preparation, your long-distance drive can be a safe and enjoyable part of your Victorian adventure.
Driving in Victoria's varied weather conditions requires adaptability and caution. During hot summer days, be prepared for potential bushfires and follow local advisories. Your Toyota's air conditioning will be a blessing, but ensure it's working properly. In wet conditions, common in winter and spring, reduce your speed and increase following distances. Be cautious of aquaplaning on waterlogged roads. Victoria can experience sudden weather changes, so always check forecasts before long trips. In foggy conditions, particularly in mountainous or coastal areas, use fog lights and drive slowly. If encountering dust storms in rural areas, pull over safely if visibility is severely reduced. During the rare snowfall in high-altitude areas, fit snow chains if required. Remember, Victorian weather can be unpredictable, so always be prepared to adjust your driving to suit the conditions.

Major petrol station chains are well-represented, ensuring competitive prices and quality fuel for your Toyota. You'll find several options along Millers Road and Kororoit Creek Road, convenient for local drives. For those venturing further, the Western Ring Road (M80) has service centres with fuel facilities. Remember to check your fuel gauge regularly, especially before long trips. Some supermarkets in the area also offer fuel stations, often with discount schemes if you shop there. Many modern fuel stations also offer basic conveniences and car wash facilities, adding convenience to your car hire experience.
