Even though this van was a little older, it worked great and was perfect for out needs. We had a great time all together as a family.
Communication with Ed was difficult, however. Our flight was delayed and multiple messages through the Turo app went unanswered. We ended up waiting at the van for the lockbox code and had to call Turo support. When we finally connected, Ed told us that he "does NOT" commmunicate through the Turo app (to avoid accountability?🤷♀️) and we needed to call his cell. And yet his cell number was not listed on his profile.
Upon the Turo agent's advice, we requested a courtesy adjustment to the rental start time. We went ignored for three days. When we finally connected, Ed instantly started shouting at us that it would take away from his profit. When we tried to respond, he shouted he was "going to give (us) a bad review, too." And then he hung up on us. 😯 (What? Where did that come from? It was like we were dropped in the middle of an argument between him and someone else. It was genuinely bizarre.)
In the end the van was great, but Ed was avoidant, aggressive, and frequently tried to shift blame to us. I wish I would've given more credibility to the other reviewers and rented from someone else.
Brett’s flight was canceled, and he demanded a refund for the day the van went unused. I explained that I do not issue credits for flight cancellations outside of my control and referred him to Turo Customer Service. He was deeply dissatisfied with this response. Throughout our interaction, his entitled attitude and unrealistic demands made it impossible to reach a reasonable resolution.

The van was in great shape. Ed was a very friendly and helpful host. I'd rent from Ed again.
