1 star. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. After landing in Salt Lake City, we found the Model X at the designated pickup location, but within about 30 minutes of driving, my kids in the back seat complained that the rear A/C wasn’t working. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to troubleshoot it before contacting the host. The host acknowledged the issue and suggested we keep the car for the day, but in the summer heat, the vehicle wasn’t usable for our family.

By the time we reached our hotel, we decided to return the vehicle. Instead of offering a convenient solution, the host suggested return locations that were 30–45 minutes away, including the airport parking lot, where the shuttle adds another 12–18 minutes after parking. This entire situation had already cost us well over 90 minutes.

When I contacted Turo Support, they advised that, given the circumstances, the vehicle could be towed. They also tried contacting the host, but the host did not respond to either Turo or me. Because Turo doesn’t allow you to book a replacement vehicle until the original trip is ended, we were delayed even further and had to scramble to arrange another rental before we could finally get dinner for our family.

Overall, a significant amount of our first day of vacation was lost because the vehicle was not in proper working condition.
