We had an outstanding experience renting this 2023 Subaru Crosstrek from R & Y! The entire process was seamless from pickup to drop-off. The hosts were incredibly responsive, friendly, and provided clear instructions that made everything stress-free. The Crosstrek was spotless, well-maintained, and drove perfectly. It was the ideal vehicle for exploring the Mount Hood area, with plenty of room for our hiking gear and excellent fuel economy. If you're visiting the Portland area and want a reliable, comfortable, and adventure-ready vehicle, I can't recommend this rental enough. We'd absolutely rent from R & Y again on our next trip. Thanks for helping make our Oregon vacation even better! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Nissan Pathfinder was a great rental! It was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. It drove smoothly, had plenty of room, and made our trip enjoyable. I would definitely rent this vehicle again. Thanks for great service!

We had a great experience renting this car for our family trip! It was the perfect size for our family of four. We comfortably fit a carry-on, a checked suitcase, a stroller, and still had extra room. The car was clean, in good condition, and very easy to drive and park. We also appreciated the Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, backup camera, and other convenient features. We’d definitely rent it again!

Awesome experience! I messed up my intial reservation and my host was very accommodating

Best rental for our trip! It was easy to find, very clean and easy individuals to work with!

Fantastic experience with this rental! Clean and reliable for our road trip around OR and WA parks. Vu was a great host and always quick to respond with questions we had at the start and at the conclusion. If we return to the area, we will absolutely rent from Vu again. Thank you so much, our trip wouldn't have been possible without this incredible subaru! Highly recommend this host.
Better customer service and responsiveness than any enterprise rental car or hertz I’ve ever dealt with. Naser made my Turo experience simple. Thanks
The car was very comfortable and clean. It was conveniently located close to Portland International Airport. I have always driven Hondas and Toyotas and the drive and handling were similar and visibility was good which was important to me. Anne and Brian made everything easy and were very welcoming and gave me good information about things around Portland. It was my first time to rent with Turo. It gave me the chance to know which make and model car I was getting in advance unlike conventional rental companies which sometimes make a substitution. The gas mileage on the Subaru was better than was expected, the tires were new and everything on the car seemed well maintained. It had plenty of power for climbing into mountain areas. My only problem was in using the CarPlay/display system and I’m sure that it was inexperience on my part. It wasn’t that important to me to take the time to research how to use it. If I was returning to Portland again, I would be happy to rent from Anne and Brian.

The car was nice, clean, and comfortable and worked well for my family of four. Pick-up and drop-off at the airport were easy and the communication was great. We would happily rent from Tran again!

Car was easy to find. Clear instructions on retrieving key. Host was very communicative, quick response, dependable and honest. Car was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the trip to visit family and friends. This was my first Turo experience and I would highly recommend any car from him.

This was our first time using Turo. SUV was clean and taken care of. Pick up was a breeze. Drop off just as easy. The hybrid was efficient and then some. We made a good choice when planning our trip to Oregon.
Thank you so much! It was an amazing rental dor my week long trip back home!
Ty’s Tahoe was awesome! Our family had a great trip. Car was clean, well maintained and FUN!

Had a great experience renting Nancy’s Porsche Macan! The car was clean, comfortable, and a lot of fun to drive around Portland. Nancy was very helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the whole rental. She also gave us some great recommendations for places to check out while we were in town, which we really appreciated. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. I’d definitely rent from Nancy again and highly recommend her!

Awesome vehicle, really great features to take onto our trip. Would love to rent again!

Renting an SUV at Portland International Airport provides excellent versatility for exploring Oregon's diverse terrain, from coastal highways to mountain roads. SUVs offer generous cargo space for luggage and outdoor gear, making them ideal for Portland adventures that might include hiking equipment or shopping finds. The elevated seating position in a rental SUV enhances visibility on Portland's hilly streets and provides confidence when navigating unfamiliar routes around the international airport area.
Oregon requires headlights during daylight hours when visibility is reduced, and right turns on red are permitted after a complete stop unless posted otherwise. Portland has numerous bike lanes throughout the city, so drivers must yield to cyclists and maintain safe distances when sharing the road. Speed limits are strictly enforced around Portland International Airport, with school zones requiring reduced speeds during posted hours.

The most direct route from Portland International Airport to downtown follows Airport Way west to I-205 south, then connects to I-84 west across the Willamette River. Alternative routes include taking Airport Way to Sandy Boulevard, which provides a scenic surface street option through Portland neighborhoods. Both routes offer clear signage and multiple lanes, making navigation straightforward whether you're driving a luxury vehicle or standard rental car.
The Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area offers spectacular waterfalls and hiking opportunities, accessible via I-84 east from Portland International Airport. Oregon's coast beckons travelers with Highway 101 providing stunning Pacific Ocean views, reachable by heading west through Portland toward Tillamook. Mount Hood National Forest presents alpine adventures via Highway 26 east, perfect for rental SUVs seeking mountain exploration beyond the airport vicinity.
Multiple gas stations operate within a short drive of Portland International Airport, including locations along Airport Way and nearby commercial districts. The airport area features several major fuel brands with 24-hour service, convenient for early morning or late-night car rental returns. Downtown Portland also offers numerous gas stations, ensuring easy refueling options throughout your luxury sedan or rental SUV experience.
Portland International Airport and the surrounding Portland metro area currently have no toll roads, making your rental car journey budget-friendly. Oregon operates on gas tax funding for road maintenance rather than tolling systems. However, some bridges crossing the Columbia River to Washington state may implement tolling in the future, though this doesn't affect most Portland airport travelers.
