Car drives nice, needs to be shampooed to get rid of stains and cigarette smell. Alerts say it needs an oil change and wiper fluid. Rear wiper blade hanging off. Gets good mileage and owner very communicative.

I recently rented a car through Turo, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed it had an overwhelmingly strong smell of air freshener, which masked a more significant issue – the lingering odor of cigarette smoke.
Additionally, the car had low washer fluid and was not provided with a full tank of gas, which is a basic expectation for any rental. The pickup location was also concerning; it was in a poorly lit area of town that I wouldn't want to be in at night.
While the host was responsive when it came to unlocking and locking the door, their lack of concern when I mentioned the unpleasant smell was disheartening. They offered no apology or resolution. Given these issues, I chose to contact Turo and returned the car the next day.
Overall, I cannot recommend this rental experience based on my findings, and I suggest potential renters consider other options.
