I’ve used Turo multiple times in the past and always treated the vehicles with care, returned them clean, and received positive experiences. Unfortunately, this last rental completely changed my opinion of the platform.

After the trip, the host started aggressively accusing me of causing extremely minor cosmetic scratches on a sensitive glossy interior screen surface. The marks were visible under certain lighting and camera angles when the screen is off, and I genuinely do not believe they were caused during my use of the vehicle. In fact host disabled internet and I barely used the screen during the trip because of this and treated the car very carefully.

What made the experience worse was the tone and communication from the host. Instead of trying to calmly discuss the situation, the conversation quickly became accusatory, hostile, and unnecessarily personal. At one point even comments about “karma” were made, which felt completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

I tried multiple times to find a fair and reasonable middle ground to avoid escalating such a minor cosmetic issue through Turo claims, but instead I felt pressured and unfairly blamed.
I would give minus stars if I could, scam, avoid at all costs.

Wonderful car. Immaculate quality and cleanliness. Great host with strong communication.

Car was clean, host was responsive and tried to accommodate to needs. I would rent the car again!
