Based on price and year of car, this exceeded my expectation. Overall happy with rental, and Nathan was great to work with. Very accommodating.

This SUV was perfect for our trip. Host was great with communication. Pick-up
We had an excellent experience with our Turo rental! Would definitely use Jeff again!

After. Couple of bad trips Melanie was truly a blessing. The car was super clean and drove so nice. Everything worked inside the vehicle unlike some I have been in. Melanie was super friendly and more helpful than any other Turo person we have dealt with. I would give her 10 stars If I could give one. She was the best!!!

This has been one of the best rentals I’ve ever had five out of five Jay has been an incredible host. He was very helpful when our flights got delayed. He stayed up late so we could still get access to the vehicle. He allowed me to adjust my booking to drop it off at a different location. He’s been very responsive. The vehicle was in excellent condition. Very clean very tidy could not ask for better experience. Highly recommend using Jay.
Great! Hosts were very responsive and granted us a different dropoff location. We would rent this Rogue again, even though it’s got a lot of miles racked up on it. 🙂

Good car , it fit my family well. Liked how the back has lots of room for our store runs or dropping freight off

Wonderful host and auto, great communication! Made our trip to Fairbanks such a breeze!

Awesome new car, smooth drive. And handled a 2000 mile Alaska road trip with ease. Josh was a great host, easy to communicate with and helpful.

From communication to quality of car I can not fault our rental. Clean, comfortable great size car for 5 adults who have been travelling for a month with all our gear. Vehicle is beautiful to drive, not as heavy on the juice as expected. Pick up and drop off was a breeze at airport and train station. Thanks Richard and Ken for great service and a wonderful vehicle hiring experience.

Joel and Mary Lou are amazing hosts. Helpful, attentive, and kind. When there was a mix up at the beginning of our reservation, they fixed everything super quick. The car was in great shape and they even gave me tips for keeping the car in good working order in low temperatures. I would definitely rent from them again!

The Dalton Highway, stretching north from Fairbanks to the Arctic Ocean, is a legendary route perfect for SUV exploration. This 414-mile journey takes you through boreal forests, across the Yukon River, and over the Brooks Range. An SUV rental is essential for navigating the mostly gravel road and fording small streams. Along the way, witness the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, expansive tundra, and perhaps even the Arctic wildlife. Be prepared with extra fuel and supplies, as services are limited. The best time to travel is June through mid-September when weather conditions are most favorable.
Denali National Park, home to North America's highest peak, is a must-visit destination easily accessible from Fairbanks. An SUV rental is ideal for the 120-mile drive to the park entrance, offering comfort and stability on the scenic Parks Highway. Once there, your rental SUV provides ample space for camping gear, hiking equipment, and wildlife viewing essentials. While private vehicles are restricted beyond mile 15 of the park road, your SUV rental is perfect for exploring the entrance area and nearby trails. Remember to book your campsite or bus tour in advance, especially during the peak summer season from June to early September.
Winter transforms Fairbanks into a snowy playground, and an SUV rental is your ticket to embracing the season. When driving to Chena Hot Springs or exploring the snowy trails of Creamer's Field, a rental SUV's heated seats and spacious interior offer welcome comfort. Always check road conditions before setting out, and pack extra warm clothing and emergency supplies for winter driving safety.
When booking an SUV rental in Fairbanks, consider your specific needs. For solo travelers or couples, a compact SUV rental might suffice, while families or groups should opt for larger models with extra cargo space. Reserve early, especially for summer visits when demand peaks. Ensure your rental includes all-wheel drive for tackling diverse Alaskan terrains. Check if winter tires are included for cold-season rentals. Consider fuel efficiency, as distances between gas stations can be vast in Alaska. Lastly, familiarize yourself with the vehicle's features, particularly the four-wheel drive system, before embarking on your Fairbanks adventure.

Ensure your rental vehicle is equipped with winter tires for optimal traction on icy roads. Familiarize yourself with the SUV's four-wheel drive system, as it can be invaluable in snowy conditions. Keep the fuel tank at least half full to prevent fuel line freezing. Pack essential winter gear, including warm clothing, blankets, and non-perishable snacks. When driving, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and avoid sudden movements. Be cautious of black ice, especially on bridges and overpasses. Lastly, inform someone of your travel plans before embarking on long trips in the Fairbanks area.

They typically feature higher-quality materials, more spacious interiors, and advanced climate control systems, which are particularly beneficial in Alaska's harsh weather. Luxury SUV rentals often come with heated and ventilated seats, providing extra comfort during cold Fairbanks winters. Advanced suspension systems in luxury models offer a smoother ride on rough Alaskan roads. Additionally, luxury SUVs usually have better sound insulation, reducing road noise and creating a more peaceful environment for passengers. More efficient SUV rentals allow for extended trips without frequent refueling stops, which is particularly important in Alaska's vast, sometimes remote areas. When planning your journey, consider the SUV rental's fuel tank capacity and estimated range. This information helps in mapping out refueling points along your route, especially important for longer excursions from Fairbanks. Fuel-efficient SUV rentals also reduce travel costs, allowing you to allocate more of your budget to experiences rather than gas. Additionally, some newer SUV rental models offer hybrid options, which can significantly extend your driving range and reduce environmental impact while exploring the beautiful Fairbanks region.
