The Toyota Sequoia was the perfect rental for our sightseeing trip! It was incredibly comfortable, with plenty of room for both passengers and luggage, making long drives enjoyable. The SUV was spotless inside and out when we picked it up, and it was clear that it had been very well maintained. The smooth ride and excellent visibility made exploring the area easy and relaxing. No toll roads exist in Montana or the Yellowstone National Park area, making travel between West Yellowstone, Bozeman, and Jackson Hole completely free of toll charges. The road network around Yellowstone Regional Airport consists entirely of state highways and national park roads with no toll collection points. This allows for budget-friendly exploration of the entire Yellowstone region without additional road fees.
Montana requires all passengers to wear seat belts, and children under 6 years old must be secured in appropriate car seats. Speed limits vary from 25 mph in West Yellowstone to 80 mph on interstate highways connecting to Bozeman and other major cities. Right turns on red lights are permitted after coming to a complete stop, unless posted signs indicate otherwise.

Several gas stations operate in West Yellowstone, the closest town to Yellowstone Regional Airport, providing fuel and basic automotive supplies. Additional fueling options are available along the routes to Bozeman Airport, Jackson Hole Airport, and within Yellowstone National Park itself. It's advisable to fuel up before entering remote areas of Montana and Wyoming where gas stations become less frequent.

To rent a car on Turo, you must create a Turo account, have a valid driver's license, get approved to drive on Turo, and be 18 years old or older in the US, 21 years old or older in Australia, or 23 years old or older in Canada. In the UK, you must be 21 years old or older and have held a UK or EU license for at least one year, or another driver's license for at least two years. In France you must be 18 years old or older and have held a driver's license for at least 2 years, longer for certain makes and models of vehicles. When you're booking your first trip, you'll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver's license and some other information. In most cases, you'll get approved immediately, and you'll be set for all future road trips, day trips, and business trips!
Turo accepts valid licenses (not expired, suspended, or revoked) that allow for full driving privileges; this includes driver's licenses issued outside of the US. Licenses that Turo doesn't accept in the US include any that have expired, have been altered, are conditional, probational, provisional, or restricted. Learner's permit/instruction permits are not accepted.

The route follows well-marked signage leading into the heart of West Yellowstone where hotels, restaurants, and park services are located. From downtown West Yellowstone, you can easily access the park's west entrance and begin exploring Yellowstone's famous attractions.
