We originally booked a Jeep because my boys were really excited about riding in it, but about two hours before pickup the host informed us that the Jeep was having battery issues and wouldn’t be available. They offered a replacement vehicle, a Subaru Ascent, which we accepted since otherwise we would have been without a car.
I did ask if there were any other options since we specifically chose the Jeep, but unfortunately there weren’t. We were still charged the price for the Jeep and did not receive any reimbursement for the change in vehicle, which was a bit disappointing.
That said, the Subaru Ascent worked well for our trip and the pickup and drop-off process was very easy and convenient. Communication about the issue was clear, though I wish there had been some price adjustment given the change in vehicle. Overall, it worked out fine, but just something to be aware of when booking.
Thank you for the feedback. It was such a disappointment to myself as well. I thought at least if I could get it jump started but for whatever reason the battery in the vehicle was a dud, it was less than 2 years old and so the shop ended up replacing it for free. These things can happen unfortunately I wish the timing of your trip would’ve allowed me to ability to get a new battery put in before you arrived. Thanks again very sorry to disappoint your boys.

Directions to drop off were very bad - we went to airport and then realized at the very bottom of their instructions was an address miles from the airport for the drop off - very disappointing.....and it ended up adding $6 worth of gas to find the place so they charged me that plus $10 managment fee - bogus
Thanks for feedback. We can always improve and will definitely look for ways to better relay the message. In the future though I would definitely default to returning the vehicle to the same location you picked it up from. Turo guidelines will always treat that as an acceptable return location. As for the fuel, topping off the tank is always a requirement and a few miles will never deplete the tank of 2 gallons of fuel. Thank you!
