The Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel connecting Norfolk and Hampton charges tolls for vehicles crossing between the Peninsula and South Hampton Roads. Several other major crossings in the Virginia area, including the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel near Newport News, also require toll payments. Your rental car will need an E-ZPass or you can pay cash at most toll locations when traveling between Williamsburg and other parts of the Hampton Roads region.
