Eric was an excellent host. All communication was prompt, smooth, friendly, and professional. Pickup and drop off could not have been easier. The car itself was a treat to be able to drive for our week in Maui. During our last trip we rented the ever-popular mustang convertible, but this 4 Series was so much nicer to drive in every aspect. I was especially impressed with how well insulated the soft top was - the car was very quiet with the top closed. The top could also be operated at low speed, meaning we could confidently open or close the top at any stop light or around the parking lot. I was also surprised how torquey the 4 cylinder was, while being overall very smooth and compliant. The suspension was also surprisingly comfortable while still being sporty. The car had low miles for being a ‘21, had fresh tires, windshield washer fluid was full, and all around was in excellent driving condition. Would definitely recommend to any future guest.

Jeep was great for getting around Maui. The One Touch Roof opening made our trip especially enjoyable. For all the driving we did around the island from West Maui to Hana and to also Haleakalā and Kīhei, we spent $150 between 2 fill ups and we also paid $24 for airport parking and $18 for the Jeep to be washed. I’m disclosing these expenses so one can be aware of additional costs and know what to expect when renting gas Jeep for Maui. The Jeep was very dependable and comfortable. I did feel stressed having to wash the Jeep before returning it to the airport as I have never had to do that but I did not know what the expectation of clean was and wanted to avoid a $150 cleaning fee that was stated in the instructions. With all this said, due to it being a one touch, I would still rent it again.
As the other reviews state, this car isn’t in pristine condition, but honestly it was fine. It’s a little beat up, other reviews outline the “issues” but honestly it’s not your car, so who cares. You’re on vacation and you want a convertible that’s kinda fun to drive. We logged over 400 miles in 5 days. Had a lot of fun and drove the Road to Hana in it. There isn’t much room in the backseat. My two late teen kids were a little squished but they were fine, so be aware of that. The four of us aren’t bigger people so it worked for us. We had two suitcases- only one fit in the trunk so the other had to go in the between them and the two front seats.
From start to finish communication was clear and concise. Vehicle was exactly as described and made cruising around Maui even that much more fun! Would definitely rent again on our next trip out here!
