Excellent experience from start to finish! The rental process was quick, easy, and hassle-free. The vehicle was in good condition but well-maintained, and drove perfectly throughout my trip. Pickup and drop-off were both smooth, and the host was professional, friendly, and helpful. I appreciated the great customer service .The vehicle was reliable, fuel-efficient, and made traveling comfortable. I would definitely rent from this host again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable rental car experience.
This was my first experience with Turo and it couldn’t have been better. I learned about this service 2 hours before my trip to Chicago which was in jeopardy due to booking issues with one of the major car rental companies. This was the most user friendly, easy and convenient was to travel via rental car. Joel and his team were incredible, communication was clear with quick responses. Car was clean, nice and very comfortable, and the process couldn’t have been any easier. 10/10 experience and will definitely use again.

Great service cares about drivers would recommend to anyone who needs car rental

Larry provided an outstanding car rental experience from start to finish. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Communication was excellent, and Larry was friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire process. Pickup and drop-off were quick and hassle-free. I highly recommend renting from Larry and would gladly do business with him again in the future. Thank you for making the experience smooth and enjoyable!

Reliable little car that got the job done. Nothing fancy, but perfect if you’re just looking for an inexpensive rental to get around. It’s an older Corolla with some cosmetic wear, but it ran well and had no issues during the trip. One thing to note: no cruise control, in case that’s important to you. Overall, a solid budget-friendly option.
Literally best people to rent a car from. I love you guys and you are all amazing!!!

It is always a pleasure renting from these guys. Not only was the car reliable but amazing on gas. It was clean and smelled great. I had the best birthday weekend ever and didn’t have a trouble getting to where I needed to go. Thank you Tanya and Joel so much. Communication was great with quick responses. I will always try and rent from them every-time.🤗 .

The car was great, pick up was so easy but what made the experience even better was Joel and Tanya’s outstanding hospitality! I was greeted by Joel and he was able to answer questions then and they were responsive all through out my trip. Tanya greeted me at checkout and Joel was there too! Great job guys! I will rent from you from now on if I can ❤️

Rent the perfect car
A visit to Louisville isn’t complete without a drive out to Churchill Downs, home of the legendary Kentucky Derby. Check out the Kentucky Derby Museum, then grab a bite at Wagner’s Pharmacy — a racing-world favorite for over 100 years. With your rental car, it’s a quick trip from downtown through the city’s historic lower level streets.
Turn left off I-64 and you’re on your way to Bardstown, the self-declared Bourbon Capital of the World. From Angel’s Envy to Maker’s Mark, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail spans rolling hills, small towns, and hidden distilleries — all easier to reach with your own wheels. The trail isn’t just a bourbon lover's dream — it’s a deep dive into Kentucky’s cultural DNA.
Just two hours southeast lies Red River Gorge, a sandstone wonderland perfect for hiking, rock climbing, or just admiring the views. With a rental car, this natural escape is well within reach. It’s a scenic drive through the heart of Kentucky, offering a peaceful contrast to the buzz of Louisville — and a must for your Kentucky itinerary.
Exploring Kentucky’s bourbon capital is best done behind the wheel. With scenic drives, riverfront routes, and charming small towns just beyond city limits, a rental car unlocks more than just downtown Louisville. Before you drive off, here’s everything to know about pickup logistics, where to find gas, and returning your ride at Louisville International Airport.
After arriving at the airport terminal, follow the signs toward the Express Shuttle, Premier East, or Surface Parking Lots. At Louisville Airport, car rental pickups on Turo also happen on Levels 2–4 of the Parking Garage. Alternatively, you can meet your host at the Premier West Parking Lot for an in-person exchange. Check the Turo app to confirm the exact pickup location of your rental car at the airport.
Returning your vehicle to Louisville Airport is just as easy. Drive to one of the approved parking lots and park your rental vehicle in any open spot. Louisville International Airport is just six miles from downtown, on average, a 10 to 15-minute drive. With the car waiting at the terminal parking and no long shuttle queues, you can head straight from the baggage claim area to downtown spots like NuLu, Old Louisville, or the historic distilleries that make this city unforgettable.
Driving in Louisville is relatively straightforward, with light to moderate traffic outside of peak times. Expect congestion on I-64, I-65, and I-71 during rush hours (7:00 to 9:00 AM and 4:30 to 6:00 PM), especially near the Kennedy Interchange. During winter, icy roads are common, so make sure your vehicle is prepared.
Speed limits typically range from 25–35 mph in residential areas and up to 65 mph on major highways. Stay alert for signage near school zones and construction sites. After landing at Louisville Muhammad Ali Intl, you’ll navigate city streets that connect directly from the airport to major highways, offering an easy transition from the baggage claim area to your rental pickup.
For those planning to explore beyond city limits, be aware that road conditions may change rapidly in more rural areas, especially after heavy rain or snowfall.
Parking downtown is relatively easy, with a mix of metered street spaces and garages like Cowger Garage, Clay Commons, and the PARC Main Street Lot. During big events at the KFC Yum! Center or Waterfront Park, plan ahead — parking fills up quickly. Many garages near Louisville International Airport are located inside secure structures and offer 24/7 access. In high-traffic areas such as NuLu or the Highlands, parking spots can be harder to find, so having a few backup spots in mind is a good idea.
Yes, expect to find a few toll roads located around Louisville, including the I-65 and Kennedy bridges, as well as the SR 265/KY 841 Lewis and Clark Bridge.
There are plenty of spots to refuel in Louisville. You’ll find gas stations like Thornton’s, Speedway, and Kroger along major roads, including Bardstown Road and West Broadway. For EVs, charging stations are available near Oxmoor Center and in garages downtown.
Louisville’s public transit is limited, and a rental car offers the freedom to explore nearby destinations like the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Bernheim Arboretum, and Red River Gorge.
