First time renting a Tesla. With that being said it says to bring the car back at the percentage when you first picked it up, understandable. HOWEVER, I drove from centralia to pick it up and upon return I stopped at multiple charging places that required the cord (couldn’t find a Tesla super charger near by) and since there wasn’t a cord with the car it was impossible to bring the car back fully charged so I got charged $50 because it wasn’t full which was more than I spent on all 3-4 days of charging it twice daily and I felt like that charge was bound to happen because I couldn’t charge it anywhere near the pickup/dropoff location without having the cord.
Secondly, after telling the owner that i was having to charge the car multiple times daily everyday errands because the percentage went down SO fast he told me it had to do speed and climate..? I’m still confused but it was so time consuming because each charge was about a 25 minute wait. A full battery was suppose to last me I think ~140 miles but by end of day I probably did ~50 miles and speed limit ranging 35-60 so i don’t know why I had to charge SOOO MANY TIMES.
Tesla was nice, clean and at pick up the guy explained and answered the question I had but I was sooo stressed the whole time and worried about it dying on me. If you want a fast response then you probably won’t get one from the guy so just know he’ll answer but it may be an hour to a few.
