I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I want to share an honest experience.

To their credit, LuLeo did make things right and refunded the trip, which I appreciate.

We picked the car up around midnight. When we approached the vehicle, I noticed all the windows were cracked open, and upon opening the doors there was a very strong smoke odor inside the cabin. There were a couple of air fresheners installed, but they did not help. Due to the late hour and traveling with my 11-year-old, we decided to proceed for the night rather than try to resolve it immediately.

Once we left the well-lit airport area, it became clear that the headlights provided very little usable light. Visibility was extremely limited, and I had to rely on the high beams just to see the road.

While driving, there was also a noticeable vibration and a roaring noise that changed with vehicle speed.

The next morning, I inspected the vehicle more closely and found the rear tires were worn down to the wear bars (essentially at the end of their service life). I documented this and reported it along with the headlight and odor concerns. I looked at the headlights and it seems the lens reflective material has internally delaminated. The only way to fix this is to replace both lens.

Because of these issues, we ended up returning the vehicle early and had to arrange another rental to continue our trip.

The host mentioned they had previously attempted to address the odor using an ozone treatment, but the smell was still very strong.

If these issues had been addressed prior to pickup—the experience likely would have been much better.

I hope LuLeo reads this review and resolves these issues for the next renter.
