We understand that with a budget-friendly rental, some cosmetic wear and tear is expected, but this vehicle was unfortunately beyond that. The car was heavily damaged and dirty upon pickup, with dents, scratches, cracked roof glass, and malfunctioning window controls.
The biggest issue was the heating/cooling system and battery drain. Overnight, the heat would randomly turn on full blast while the car was off, draining the battery and making the car unbearably hot each morning. We ended up needing to charge the vehicle far more than expected just to continue using it normally.
We appreciate the affordability and tried to make the best of it, but overall this experience fell below what we feel is a reasonable standard for a rental vehicle.

Overall enjoyed the rental and the host was very accommodating and helpful with the check in process! Would definitely recommend booking for your stay in Maui!!

We own a Model 3 Tesla and the trip started out fine. The car broke down in Hana the day before our trip ended. We had plenty of charge; it was an unfortunate situation. Hana is a remote location 50 miles from Kahului. Turo customer service was terrible. We had to pay $1,000.00 for a hotel and the four of us had to fly from Hana back to Kahului another $375.00. No food or hotel vouchers. All that was offered was $75 voucher for Lyft which is non existent in Hana. The host did give us another car but no real Aloha.

My business trip was cut short and I was declined to change trip dates. No courtesy at all. That’s just being greedy!
Hi Joseph, I’m sorry your trip was cut short. I work very hard to make sure each vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and prepared before and after every trip, which takes a lot of time and energy. For that reason, I only accommodate rentals of three days or longer, since shorter trips simply don’t cover the effort and cost required to provide the quality experience I aim for. I appreciate your understanding and wish you the best on your future travels.
