This was for my girlfriends birthday weekend, we had to dock our cruise in Mami and leave by 4 am. Our first host had a complication night prior and we got reassigned to Marcus last minute and he was very helpful. We are appreciative to Marcus helping us in a stressful time! The car was smooth clean and great with gas! Definitely would rent again. Thank you Marcus !

The new: you should have them checked because they feel like they’re not balanced. Also you should have front end alignment because the car tends to go towards the right at 60 miles per hour. I had to hold the steering wheel at all times of duration of the trip. It just was steering hard the right. Over all the car was nice and clean and I had an Awesome weekend. Thank you 😊

During rainy seasons, ensure your vehicle's windshield wipers are in good condition and the tires have proper tread depth for improved traction. When heavy rain hits, reduce your speed and increase following distance. Be cautious of standing water on roads, which can lead to hydroplaning. Turn on your headlights to improve visibility. If conditions become too severe, find a safe place to pull over and wait it out. Jacksonville Beach can also experience sudden thunderstorms, so be prepared to adjust your plans if necessary. Remember, Florida's weather can change quickly, so it's wise to have a flexible itinerary when exploring the Jacksonville area.

What are some key differences between driving in Jacksonville Beach and navigating rural Florida backroads?

Driving in Jacksonville Beach differs significantly from navigating rural Florida backroads. In Jacksonville Beach, you'll encounter more traffic, especially during peak tourist seasons, and need to be alert for pedestrians and cyclists. Speed limits are generally lower, and you'll find more traffic lights and stop signs. Parking can be more challenging, often requiring payment. In contrast, rural Florida backroads offer a more relaxed driving experience with less traffic, but require different precautions. You may encounter wildlife, so stay vigilant, especially at dawn and dusk. Rural roads might have fewer streetlights, so night driving requires extra caution. While Jacksonville Beach has well-maintained roads, some backroads might be unpaved or have less frequent maintenance. Always keep your fuel tank topped up when venturing into rural areas, as gas stations can be sparse compared to the numerous options in Jacksonville Beach.

Where can renters find reliable gas stations in and around Jacksonville Beach for refueling?

Jacksonville Beach and its surrounding areas offer numerous reliable options for refueling your vehicle. Along Beach Boulevard, you'll find several well-known gas station chains that are conveniently located and easy to access. For those exploring the broader Jacksonville area, gas stations are plentiful near major intersections and along highways like A1A and J. Turner Butler Boulevard. Many of these stations are open 24/7, catering to early beach-goers and late-night drivers alike. Some stations near the beach also offer car washes, which can be handy for removing sand and salt after a day by the ocean. Remember to check your fuel levels regularly, especially before embarking on longer drives to nearby attractions or neighboring beach towns.
