Truly a great car! and incredible host! We would not hesitate to rent Pierre's car again. it has everything you need: Bluetooth plug in, sliding doors, perfectly small size for the mountain roads. Really a great car to see the Pyrenees!! It is a "manual" style automatic (no "park" setting-- you put it in neutral and use the parking brake) that worked perfectly! Pickup was so simple, and Pierre met us at the airport as arranged. Drop off was a breeze! Super streamlined and easy. Car quality is fabulous. What a great rental experience!

Jean-Marc a été un hôte très prévenant disponible et réactif. Il a été au delà de ses missions de loueur de voiture et nous a permis de trouver une solution pour pallier aux manquements de la sncf sur notre trajet de retour. Je recommande vivement.

How to Get to Tarbes Lourdes Airport?

Have you successfully arrived at the Tarbes Lourdes Airport terminal? Excellent! Now, for getting around the region, a car is the most practical mode of transport—and with car sharing on Turo, that’s even more true! You can access your vehicle as soon as you step out of the Tarbes Lourdes Airport terminal by coordinating with your host, and you’ll benefit from a wide range of prices to suit your budget. Since this service is available in many cities across France (Paris, Marseille, Tarbes, Pau, Biarritz, Nantes, Lille, and more), you’ll have access to thousands of vehicles in every category, ranging from small, affordable cars to utility vehicles.

What to Do in Lourdes and the Surrounding Region?

The Sanctuary of Lourdes is a must-see—the city’s main attraction—featuring the Grotto of Massabielle, where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to Saint Bernadette of Lourdes. It is France’s largest pilgrimage site, home to both the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. You don’t need to be a believer to appreciate the cultural significance of this 52-hectare sanctuary!
After touring the sanctuary, take some time to enjoy the lush greenery surrounding Lourdes! The Pibeste-Aoulhet Nature Reserve is France’s largest nature reserve, spanning over 5,000 hectares! Its sheer size means you’ll encounter three distinct climate zones within its borders: alpine, Mediterranean, and oceanic. Consequently, the reserve boasts an incredible diversity of flora and fauna, offering countless scenic spots that will leave you eager to return and explore even more! You can also take a scenic loop around Lake Lourdes if you enjoy hiking, mountain biking, or simply admiring beautiful landscapes.
If you wish, you can even visit nearby towns in the South of France, such as Pau, Biarritz, or Tarbes.

Looking for more information on car sharing?

For a completely stress-free journey, turn to peer-to-peer car sharing on Turo! You’ll benefit from an included protection plan (with options for additional coverage, partial deductible reduction, or full deductible waiver), as well as other conveniences that make getting on the road easier than ever—such as key handover right outside the Tarbes-Lourdes Airport terminal, or the option to add an additional driver.
You won’t find these benefits if you choose to book through a traditional car rental agency.

Which car should you choose at Tarbes-Lourdes Airport?

Booking on Turo is incredibly easy, and you can easily stick to your budget thanks to the wide range of price points available on the platform.
By choosing to rent on Turo, you gain access to thousands of vehicles across France (in Paris, Marseille, Tarbes, Pau, Biarritz, Nantes, Lille, and more), spanning every make and category—from city cars and utility vehicles to vintage classics.

Enjoy a wonderful vacation in Lourdes with Turo!
