Carma definitely restored my faith in Tullamarine car rental companies. Hannah was super friendly. Pick and drop off was a breeze. Car got 700kms on one tank. No complaints at all. Thanks team!
I will break my car rental experience (November, 2025) into 3 parts: Turo, car provider and vehicle. Turo. First time to use this app. Overall, simple and intuitive to use. It is a good option when compared to the traditional car rental companies. It was really nice not having to wait at the service rental counter. Car provider. Once you finish with the Turo process, you finalize all the details with the car owner. Daniel was exceptional to work with. He was timely and thorough with his responses to all my inquiries. Our flight arrived earlier than scheduled. I contacted Daniel and he had the car immediately available for my use. He was honest and trustworthy. At the end of the trip, I identified what I thought was a new chip in the paint. He reported it was present before the rental and not an issue. There is comfort in knowing there was no hidden agenda. Vehicle, Toyota Corolla, 2015. Don't let the age or size of the car deter you. The car was clean, dependable and satisfied all of my needs for 2 people. Hawaii may be dramatic with its natural wonders, but it is stingy with the parking spaces and roads (think road to Hana and Haleakala Volcano). We were happy to be driving this car instead of the SUVs and Jeeps that populated the parking lots and narrow, twisting roads. Overall, I would recommend Turo and HIGHLY recommend Daniel and his Toyota Corolla for your car rental needs in Maui.

Everything about this trip and this car rental was amazing. It was very easy to pick up the car. The car was very clean and have a full tank of gas. I would absolutely rent a car with turtle again.
Great car rental service with wonderful customer service! Me and my wife got a nice camaro ss , we drove around the island with the top down and had an amazing time. The best customer service ever, got some tips to make our trip easier. Definitely will rent a car for next vacation with them.
David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)

Everything was perfect!!! Thank you so much to Jensen for a great car rental experience. He was super detailed with pickup and drop-off instructions. He even helped us find an available car when our trip dates changed and the original car wasn’t available. AND he was flexible on our pickup/drop-off times if we needed. Another awesome, hassle-free Turo experience! Mahalo Jensen!
Wow. Just wow. If you’re planning to rent a car while in Oahu, this Ford Mustang convertible is absolutely the way to do it. There’s nothing like dropping the top and cruising along the island coastlines with the Hawaiian sun and ocean views around you. It honestly became one of the highlights of our trip. The car itself was spotless, fun to drive, and perfect for exploring the island. But what really made the experience exceptional was Gabriel. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive, professional, and accommodating. Pick-up and drop-off were seamless, and he went out of his way to make everything easy and stress-free for our family. If you’re considering renting a vehicle in Oahu, do yourself a favor and rent from Gabriel. You won’t regret it!
This trip was amazing because of our car rental. It was super clean and drove really well. Great on gas. The host was also very attentive and nice :) 10/10 recommend.

The car was spotless, well maintained, and drove beautifully. Pick up was quick and easy. The car owner was friendly and also offered, and dropped us off to the airport as we had traveled from Melbourne. The car was exactly what I needed comfortable, fuel efficient, and reliable. Would absolutely rent from here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a hassle-free car rental experience.

Amazing experience with both the car and the host! The vehicle was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described. Everything worked perfectly, and the car made the trip even more enjoyable. The host was very friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole rental process. Communication was easy, pickup and drop-off were smooth, and overall everything felt professional and stress-free. Highly recommend renting from this host — definitely would book again!
Pick up was easy, car was very tidy, car was well maintained. Best car rental so far 🫡
Great service. Car was perfect. So much easier than dealing with rental cars
Perfect car for a quick trip to Oahu. With gas prices on the rise it was a perfect car for cruising around the island. Definitely will rent again.
I enjoyed using this car for my solo trip to Brisbane and back. Easy to use. Has built in navigation and Bluetooth to connect my phone (for music). Host was easy to deal with. Responded promptly. Price also good.

Absolutely amazing experience renting this Mustang through Turo! The car was clean, well-maintained, and an absolute blast to drive. Everything about the rental process was smooth and easy from start to finish. The owner was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience stress-free. You can tell they really care about both the vehicle and their guests. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend this Mustang to anyone looking for a fun and reliable ride!
Car quality was awesome. Comfortable and spacious and neatly tidy and well taken care of. Car rental was awesome and smooth and easy and comfortable. Thank you so much Zerin! Mahalo. Hope to rent from you again for more trips coming up.

Roma offers several scenic driving routes that highlight Queensland's stunning countryside. The Carnarvon Highway, heading north, presents a picturesque journey through the rolling hills and vast plains characteristic of the region. For a more rugged experience, consider exploring the Roma-Taroom Road, which winds through the heart of the Outback, offering glimpses of native wildlife and expansive cattle stations. The Warrego Highway, stretching east towards Miles, provides a pleasant drive through charming rural towns and lush farmlands. Remember to pack plenty of water and snacks for your car journey, as services can be sparse in some areas. These routes offer a perfect opportunity to appreciate the diverse landscape surrounding Roma, making your car rental experience truly memorable.
When driving in Roma, it's crucial to be prepared for the region's weather, particularly the intense heat. Before setting out on your car journey, check the local forecast and plan accordingly. During summer, temperatures can soar, so ensure your vehicle's air conditioning is in good working order. It's wise to carry extra water for both yourself and the car's radiator. Sunglasses and sunscreen are essential for protection against the harsh Australian sun. If you're venturing into rural areas, pack a wide-brimmed hat and light, long-sleeved clothing. In case of unexpected weather changes, keep a light jacket in the car. Remember, Roma's climate can be unpredictable, so being prepared for various conditions will make your car hire experience more comfortable and safe.
When exploring the rural surroundings of Roma, selecting the right vehicle can enhance your experience. A sturdy SUV or 4WD is often ideal for navigating the varied terrain around Roma. These vehicles offer higher ground clearance, which is beneficial on unpaved roads or when crossing shallow creeks. If you're planning extended trips into the Outback, consider a car with ample storage space for supplies and camping gear. For those sticking to sealed roads, a comfortable sedan or hatchback can suffice, providing good fuel efficiency for longer drives. Regardless of the car type you choose, ensure it's equipped with a spare tyre and basic tools. The right vehicle will make your Roma car rental adventure more enjoyable and suited to the unique landscape of rural Queensland.
Planning a road trip from Roma to nearby Queensland towns requires careful consideration. First, map out your route, identifying key stops and points of interest. Towns like Mitchell, Injune, and Surat offer unique experiences and are worth exploring. Ensure your chosen vehicle is suitable for the distances and terrain you'll encounter. Pack essentials like water, snacks, and a first-aid kit. Check your car's condition before departing, paying attention to tyre pressure and fluid levels. It's wise to inform someone of your travel plans, especially if venturing into remote areas. Take regular breaks to avoid fatigue, and be mindful of wildlife on the roads, particularly during dawn and dusk. Remember, distances between towns can be substantial, so plan your fuel stops accordingly. With proper preparation, your Roma car hire adventure will be both safe and enjoyable.
Roma and its surrounding areas have several reliable fuel stations to support longer journeys. In Roma itself, you'll find petrol stations along the main thoroughfares, particularly near the intersection of Warrego and Carnarvon Highways. These stations are well-equipped for travellers, often offering convenience stores for essential supplies. As you venture out of town, plan your refuelling stops carefully. Towns like Injune to the north and Mitchell to the west have fuel available, but it's wise to top up whenever possible. Some rural stations may have limited operating hours, so check in advance if travelling early or late. For peace of mind during your car rental journey, consider carrying a small fuel container for emergencies, especially when exploring more remote areas around Roma. Remember, fuel prices can vary, so budget accordingly for your trip.
Driving in Roma's town centre differs significantly from navigating rural backroads. In town, you'll encounter more traffic, particularly during business hours, and need to be mindful of pedestrians and local speed limits. Parking is generally available but can be busy in central areas. Rural driving, on the other hand, presents its own challenges. Roads may be unsealed, narrower, and less maintained than in town. Wildlife encounters are more common, especially at dawn and dusk, so extra vigilance is necessary. Mobile phone coverage can be patchy outside Roma, so it's wise to have offline maps available. In rural areas, you'll need to be more self-reliant, carrying extra water and supplies in your car. Whether in town or country, always adhere to road signs and drive to the conditions to ensure a safe car hire experience in Roma.
Parking in Roma requires some planning, especially during busy periods or events. The town centre offers a mix of on-street and off-street parking options. During weekdays, be mindful of time limits in central areas to avoid fines. For longer stays, consider using the free all-day parking areas available on the outskirts of the CBD. During events like the Roma Show or Easter in the Country, parking can be challenging. It's advisable to arrive early and be prepared to walk a short distance. Some events may offer shuttle services from designated parking areas. Always check for any temporary parking restrictions that may be in place. If you're staying at accommodation in Roma, inquire about their parking facilities. Remember to lock your car and avoid leaving valuables visible. By planning ahead, you can ensure a stress-free parking experience during your Roma car rental adventure.
When embarking on long-distance trips from Roma, packing the right essentials in your car is crucial. Start with plenty of water – at least several litres per person. Non-perishable snacks are also important for energy on the road. A comprehensive first-aid kit is a must-have for any outback journey. Include sun protection items like sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. A physical map or offline GPS can be invaluable in areas with poor mobile reception. Pack a basic tool kit and spare tyre for minor repairs. Blankets and warm clothing are wise additions, as temperatures can drop significantly at night. Don't forget a torch and spare batteries. If you're venturing into very remote areas, consider a satellite phone or personal locator beacon. These essentials will help ensure your safety and comfort during your car hire adventure, allowing you to fully enjoy the stunning landscapes around Roma.
