The Mercedes was in excellent condition — spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and a genuine pleasure to drive. The engine and overall performance were superb, and it was clear that the car is looked after with real care. Simon is an excellent host: professional, extremely knowledgeable about cars and simply a genuinely nice person to deal with. Great service, very accommodating, they took a last minute booking from me as a previous host cancelled a reservation the day before our journey and eased the stress and made this booking stress free with the remote options. Nice vehicle, nice drive, you can tell a lot of thought, time has gone into the process as they even provide detailed information about how to use the vehicle for those who made not be familiar with cars. The only small criticism i have is the vehicle wasn’t completely clean show room ready would be nice to have a refreshing air freshener smell but besides this it was good for the last minute booking great experience, I would book again if required. Thank you.
I had the car rental experience with Mirza! He was very communicative and fast in responding to any queries, the car drives very well and it’s also fuel efficient. Pick up and drop off process was very easy and straightforward, the host is also very kind and friendly. Definitely best price rate and car rental experience you would have (especially with automatic car!)

The car was in excellent condition, very clean and great to drive. Perfect for our bank holiday trip to Somerset. Prachi was very accommodating and great to deal with. We accidentally caused some cosmetic damage to the car during our trip, however the experience of dealing with the repairs was very smooth. We would definitely hire the car again!

For an affordable, economic car for a quick get away and availability as means of transport and performance and features is not your priority, I recommend booking this car. What do I need to rent a car on Turo?
To book a car on Turo in the UK, you must create a Turo account, be 21 years old or older with a valid driver’s licence, and get approved to drive on Turo. When you’re booking your first trip, you’ll go through a quick approval process by entering your driver’s licence and some other information. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be ready to rent for every future road trip, business trip, and family vacation
Do I need my own insurance?
No, you don’t need personal insurance coverage to rent a car on Turo.
Do I need a UK licence to drive in the UK?
No, you don’t need a UK licence to book a car in the UK. But you do need a valid driver’s licence — most international driver’s licences are accepted in the UK, such as those from the US, Canada, Australia, and France.
Can other people drive a car that I rented?
Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you rent on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever rented the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress.
To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s licence and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve rented. You can add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.
What is the cancellation policy on Turo?
You can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours before your trip starts, unless you opt to receive a non-refundable trip discount when you book. If you book a trip with less than 24 hours’ notice, you have one hour after booking to cancel free of charge. If you cancel after the free cancellation period ends, you will be charged a cancellation fee.
In the rare event a host cancels, you’ll be notified immediately so you can book another car, or we’ll help you find one. Your refund can be temporarily held to expedite rebooking, or the funds can be returned to your bank account — your choice.
What happens if I have an accident?
If there’s an emergency or an issue with the car, call our emergency roadside assistance provider, available 24/7. We’ll make sure you’re safe, then help you get back on your way.
Can I get my car delivered to me?
Yes, many hosts offer delivery to travel hubs like airports, train stations, and hotels, or to custom delivery locations. There are cars available on Turo near hundreds of airports, or you can have your car delivered for pickup and return at your hotel or vacation rental to save time and hassle. Some hosts offer free delivery, while others set their own delivery fee for the service.
How do I get discounts when booking a car?
Many Turo hosts offer discounted prices for weekly and monthly trips, as well as “early bird” discounts for trips booked a week or more in advance. So, get the best deals and lowest rates possible by booking longer trips, at least a week in advance.*
