Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class 2021

The Mercedes was in excellent condition — spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained and a genuine pleasure to drive. The engine and overall performance were superb, and it was clear that the car is looked after with real care. Simon is an excellent host: professional, extremely knowledgeable about cars and simply a genuinely nice person to deal with. I received exactly the experience I had hoped for and will definitely rent from him again. One of my best Turo experiences so far.

Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class 2019

Great service, very accommodating, they took a last minute booking from me as a previous host cancelled a reservation the day before our journey and eased the stress and made this booking stress free with the remote options. Nice vehicle, nice drive, you can tell a lot of thought, time has gone into the process as they even provide detailed information about how to use the vehicle for those who made not be familiar with cars. The only small criticism i have is the vehicle wasn’t completely clean show room ready would be nice to have a refreshing air freshener smell but besides this it was good for the last minute booking great experience, I would book again if required. Thank you.

The car was in excellent condition, very clean and great to drive. Perfect for our bank holiday trip to Somerset. Prachi was very accommodating and great to deal with. We accidentally caused some cosmetic damage to the car during our trip, however the experience of dealing with the repairs was very smooth. We would definitely hire the car again!

What an excellent host Noel was. Above all, helpful, transparent and honest. Exactly what you want when hiring a car on Turo from a private individual. Came to the location and found him diligently cleaning it to make it easy for our trip. He called and agreed to us coming a little earlier so that he could meet us and ensure everything was smooth and easy. Wish all our cars were as easy to hire from such hosts. Thank you

Best price compared to other cars, good confirmation speed, good response time mid-trip for any questions about the car, economical car, phone holder and cables provided, car in good condition, no issues. For an affordable, economic car for a quick get away and availability as means of transport and performance and features is not your priority, I recommend booking this car. Thank you for accomodating the booking.

Explore County Durham's castles, cathedrals and countryside attractions

County Durham offers visitors an exceptional blend of UNESCO World Heritage sites, medieval fortresses, and stunning natural landscapes that are best discovered with the independence of your own vehicle. You can explore Durham Cathedral's towering spires, venture into the wild beauty of the North Pennines, and discover charming market towns like Barnard Castle with its impressive ruins. Car rental provides the perfect way to navigate between these diverse attractions, allowing you to follow scenic routes through the Wear Valley and access remote locations where England's industrial heritage comes alive.

Durham Cathedral and Castle UNESCO World Heritage Site

Durham Cathedral stands as one of Europe's finest examples of Norman architecture, with its massive towers dominating the city skyline from a dramatic peninsula above the River Wear. You'll find ample parking available in the city centre, making it convenient to spend hours exploring both the cathedral's stunning interior and the adjacent castle grounds. Your rental car allows you to approach Durham from multiple scenic routes, particularly the winding roads that offer spectacular views of this architectural masterpiece rising above the ancient city.

Raby Castle near Staindrop village

Raby Castle represents one of England's largest and best-preserved castles, with its eleven towers creating an imposing silhouette against the Durham countryside. The castle sits in beautiful parkland near the village of Staindrop, where you can park easily and explore both the medieval fortress and surrounding deer park. Having your own vehicle means you can combine your castle visit with exploration of nearby Teesdale's picturesque villages and traditional pubs.

Beamish Open Air Museum living history experience

Beamish Museum brings the past to life across 300 acres of authentic recreated Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian settings where costumed interpreters demonstrate historical daily life. The museum provides extensive parking facilities, and your car journey there takes you through typical County Durham landscapes of former mining communities and rolling farmland. You can easily spend a full day exploring the museum's various areas, from the 1900s town to the working farm, before driving home through the scenic Derwent Valley.

High Force waterfall in Upper Teesdale

High Force thunders 70 feet down a dramatic cliff face, creating England's most powerful waterfall in the remote beauty of Upper Teesdale's limestone landscape. The waterfall requires a short walk from the car park through ancient juniper woodland, making it perfectly accessible for visitors with their own transport. Your rental car enables you to explore the wider Teesdale area, including nearby Low Force and the unique flora of this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Barnard Castle market town and ruins

Barnard Castle combines a thriving market town atmosphere with spectacular medieval castle ruins perched dramatically above the River Tees. You'll discover excellent parking options in the town centre, allowing easy access to both the castle grounds and the town's independent shops, galleries, and traditional tearooms. A car gives you the flexibility to explore the surrounding Teesdale countryside, including nearby Egglestone Abbey ruins and the charming villages that dot this scenic river valley.
