Andy is an amazing host – very kind and thoughtful. He even dropped me back to my hotel after returning the car, which made everything so easy. The car itself was fantastic: comfortable, smooth, and perfect for the Highland roads. Highly recommend Andy if you’re looking for a great rental experience.

Andy’s Range Rover Evoque was the perfect vehicle to drive up to Fort William and the surrounding highlands! A very responsive car with good navigation. Andy was an excellent host, always responsive to our many changes in picking up and dropping off the car, and offered to drive us back to Glasgow to depart. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ailya was an amazing host, helping us everytime we needed her help, and the car was amazing to drive. I would totally recommend her and her car 100%.

Very good car and lovely hosts. Always fast at responding. Thank you very much. Also thank you for helping me with a taxi home 😊
Incredible host, incredible car. Would give the hosts 10 stars if I could
Aliya was very welcoming and understanding during the whole trip. Even left a box of fancy cookies and a personalized card for me with her information incase anything went wrong. From start to finish, the trip went well. The car was great on gas. Recommend her for any travel you have in Glasgow. Thank you again for letting us drive the car

Really good communication, the car is nice to drive. I had an issue with a flat tyre and the team really helped me as i had issuss to reach out to turo road assistance. I recommend! Make sure though with the host about the cleaning policy beforehand (could add 18pounds to the trip depending on the time you wish to return the car).

Glasgow Airport is located just eight miles west of the city. It's about a 20–25 minute drive, making it the perfect starting point for urban exploring or countryside adventures.
Glasgow is easy to drive once you know the basics. Stick to the left side, check posted road signs, and follow speed limits — usually 30 mph in urban areas and 70 mph on motorways. Traffic can build on major routes during peak rush hours, and the city centre has one-way streets and bus lanes to watch for.
Wet weather is common, while winter frost or ice may appear in shaded areas. Low summer sun can also cause glare, so take it slow and soak up the views in your car hire!
Glasgow city centre has plenty of car parks and on-street spaces. For cheaper options, park outside the centre or use apps like JustPark to reserve a spot in advance.
Scotland doesn’t have toll roads near Glasgow Airport, but the Glasgow Low Emission Zone (LEZ) covers the city centre. Older or high-emission vehicles may be restricted, so check if your rental car meets the requirements before driving into the zone.
You’ll find petrol stations throughout the city and along major roads like the M8 and A82. Glasgow has an extensive network of EV charging points, with apps like Zap-Map or ChargePlace Scotland showing live availability.
Public transport is fine for getting around town, but to experience the real Scotland, car hire is the way to go. From the peaceful shores of Loch Lomond to the coastal charm of Oban, the premium vehicles listed on Turo let you do it all without watching the clock.
From compact hatchbacks and electric cars to luxury and executive vehicles, Turo has every Glaswegian journey covered. Zip through the city in a Ford Focus, enjoy a comfortable Highland drive in a BMW X3, or add a touch of luxury with a Porsche Macan.
The cost of car rental in Glasgow can vary depending on car type, booking length, extras, and delivery. For cheap car rental in Glasgow, look out for discounts on longer-duration bookings and early bookings.
