Carma definitely restored my faith in Tullamarine car rental companies. Hannah was super friendly. Pick and drop off was a breeze. Car got 700kms on one tank. No complaints at all. Thanks team!
I will break my car rental experience (November, 2025) into 3 parts: Turo, car provider and vehicle. Turo. First time to use this app. Overall, simple and intuitive to use. It is a good option when compared to the traditional car rental companies. It was really nice not having to wait at the service rental counter. Car provider. Once you finish with the Turo process, you finalize all the details with the car owner. Daniel was exceptional to work with. He was timely and thorough with his responses to all my inquiries. Our flight arrived earlier than scheduled. I contacted Daniel and he had the car immediately available for my use. He was honest and trustworthy. At the end of the trip, I identified what I thought was a new chip in the paint. He reported it was present before the rental and not an issue. There is comfort in knowing there was no hidden agenda. Vehicle, Toyota Corolla, 2015. Don't let the age or size of the car deter you. The car was clean, dependable and satisfied all of my needs for 2 people. Hawaii may be dramatic with its natural wonders, but it is stingy with the parking spaces and roads (think road to Hana and Haleakala Volcano). We were happy to be driving this car instead of the SUVs and Jeeps that populated the parking lots and narrow, twisting roads. Overall, I would recommend Turo and HIGHLY recommend Daniel and his Toyota Corolla for your car rental needs in Maui.

Everything about this trip and this car rental was amazing. It was very easy to pick up the car. The car was very clean and have a full tank of gas. I would absolutely rent a car with turtle again.
Great car rental service with wonderful customer service! Me and my wife got a nice camaro ss , we drove around the island with the top down and had an amazing time. The best customer service ever, got some tips to make our trip easier. Definitely will rent a car for next vacation with them.
David was communicative, pickup and drop off was easy with clear instructions, car drove well, overall very satisfied with our experience. Great cost friendly alternative to bigger car rental companies with a lot more flexibility, but come with the right expectations (i.e. don't expect a squeaky clean car)
Wow. Just wow. If you’re planning to rent a car while in Oahu, this Ford Mustang convertible is absolutely the way to do it. There’s nothing like dropping the top and cruising along the island coastlines with the Hawaiian sun and ocean views around you. It honestly became one of the highlights of our trip. The car itself was spotless, fun to drive, and perfect for exploring the island. But what really made the experience exceptional was Gabriel. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive, professional, and accommodating. Pick-up and drop-off were seamless, and he went out of his way to make everything easy and stress-free for our family. If you’re considering renting a vehicle in Oahu, do yourself a favor and rent from Gabriel. You won’t regret it!

Everything was perfect!!! Thank you so much to Jensen for a great car rental experience. He was super detailed with pickup and drop-off instructions. He even helped us find an available car when our trip dates changed and the original car wasn’t available. AND he was flexible on our pickup/drop-off times if we needed. Another awesome, hassle-free Turo experience! Mahalo Jensen!
This trip was amazing because of our car rental. It was super clean and drove really well. Great on gas. The host was also very attentive and nice :) 10/10 recommend.

The host was very friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole rental process. Great service. Car was perfect. So much easier than dealing with rental cars
Perfect car for a quick trip to Oahu. With gas prices on the rise it was a perfect car for cruising around the island. Definitely will rent again.
I enjoyed using this car for my solo trip to Brisbane and back. Easy to use. Has built in navigation and Bluetooth to connect my phone (for music). Host was easy to deal with. Responded promptly. Price also good.

Absolutely amazing experience renting this Mustang through Turo! The car was clean, well-maintained, and an absolute blast to drive. Everything about the rental process was smooth and easy from start to finish. The owner was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience stress-free. You can tell they really care about both the vehicle and their guests. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend this Mustang to anyone looking for a fun and reliable ride!
Very happy with my car rental. Vehicle worked great for going around the island. the pickup and drop off process was super easy and smooth and the host very reliable. Would rent again.
Car quality was awesome. Comfortable and spacious and neatly tidy and well taken care of. Car rental was awesome and smooth and easy and comfortable. Thank you so much Zerin! Mahalo. Hope to rent from you again for more trips coming up.

The nearby Grampians National Park provides a stunning backdrop for a leisurely drive, with winding roads offering views of rugged mountain ranges and lush forests. Another option is the route towards the historic town of Ballarat, passing through picturesque countryside dotted with vineyards and farms. For those seeking coastal views, a drive to the Great Ocean Road is worthwhile, although it's a bit farther. Remember to check your car's fuel levels before embarking on these journeys, as petrol stations can be sparse in rural areas. Always carry a map or use a reliable GPS system, as mobile reception can be patchy in some remote locations near Dallas.
When driving in Dallas and the surrounding Victorian region, it's crucial to be prepared for diverse weather conditions. During summer, temperatures can soar, so ensure your hired car's air conditioning is functioning well and carry plenty of water. In winter, mornings can be frosty, so allow extra time to defrost windows if necessary. Rain can occur year-round, making roads slippery, so maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and reduce speed. It's wise to check weather forecasts before setting out on any journey. Pack appropriate clothing for sudden temperature changes, especially if venturing into higher elevations. Lastly, familiarise yourself with your car's features, such as windscreen wipers and demister, to handle various weather scenarios confidently while exploring Dallas and its environs.
For exploring Dallas and Victoria's varied landscapes, a versatile car is ideal. A mid-size SUV offers a good balance of comfort, visibility, and capability for both town driving and rural excursions. If you're planning to venture onto unpaved roads or visit national parks, consider a car with higher ground clearance. For those sticking to sealed roads, a standard sedan provides ample comfort for long drives while being economical on fuel. If you're travelling with family or a group, a larger vehicle like a people mover might be more suitable. Electric vehicles are also an option, but ensure you're aware of charging station locations. Ultimately, choose a hired car that matches your itinerary and comfort level with driving in different conditions around Dallas and broader Victoria.
When navigating rural backroads around Dallas, safety and efficiency are paramount. Firstly, always adhere to posted speed limits and be prepared for sudden changes in road conditions. Wildlife can be abundant, especially at dawn and dusk, so remain vigilant. It's wise to plan your route in advance and inform someone of your travel plans. Carry a physical map as a backup, as GPS signals can be unreliable in remote areas. Keep your fuel tank topped up whenever possible, as petrol stations can be far apart. Be cautious of loose gravel or unsealed sections of road, which may require slower speeds. Lastly, respect local communities by driving courteously and being mindful of farm machinery that may share the roads. These practices will help ensure a safe and enjoyable exploration of Dallas's picturesque rural surroundings.
Finding reliable petrol stations around Dallas for long drives through Victoria requires some planning. The town centre of Dallas likely has a few petrol stations, but it's wise to fill up before venturing into more remote areas. Larger towns in the vicinity, such as Ballarat or Bendigo, offer more options for refuelling. When embarking on longer journeys, it's prudent to top up your tank whenever you see a petrol station, even if it's not completely necessary. Some petrol stations in rural areas may have limited operating hours, so check in advance if possible. Consider downloading a petrol station locator app for your smartphone, which can be helpful in pinpointing fuel stops along your route. Remember, it's always better to err on the side of caution and keep your tank at least half full when exploring Victoria's beautiful countryside from Dallas.
Driving in Dallas's town centre differs significantly from its outskirts. In the centre, you'll encounter more traffic, especially during peak hours, and need to be aware of pedestrians and cyclists. Parking may be limited, so familiarise yourself with local parking regulations. Speed limits are typically lower in the town centre. In contrast, Dallas's outskirts offer a more relaxed driving experience with less congestion. However, roads may be narrower and less well-lit, requiring extra caution, especially at night. You might encounter wildlife more frequently on outer roads. While the town centre has more frequent signage, rural areas may require more attention to navigation. Always carry a map or ensure your GPS is updated for both urban and rural driving around Dallas. Adapting your driving style to these different environments will enhance your safety and enjoyment of the Dallas area.
When planning long drives from Dallas, it's essential to incorporate regular rest stops and scenic areas into your itinerary. Victoria offers numerous picturesque locations perfect for breaks. Research and mark potential stopping points along your route before departing. Many towns between major destinations have well-maintained public areas with facilities. National and state parks often provide excellent rest areas with stunning views, although some may require an entry fee. Plan to stop every two hours or so to stretch your legs and refresh. Pack snacks and water for these breaks, as rural service stations may have limited offerings. Remember, fatigue can be dangerous when driving, so don't hesitate to pull over if you feel tired. By planning your stops, you'll not only ensure a safer journey but also enhance your exploration of Victoria's diverse landscapes from Dallas.
When driving in unfamiliar locations around Dallas and Victoria, several best practices can enhance your experience and safety. Firstly, thoroughly research your route before setting out, noting potential stops and points of interest. Familiarise yourself with local road rules and signs, as they may differ from what you're accustomed to. Always carry a physical map as a backup to GPS navigation. Be prepared for varying road conditions, from well-maintained highways to unsealed country roads. Adjust your speed accordingly and be extra cautious during dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active. Keep an eye on your fuel gauge and plan refuelling stops in advance, especially in rural areas. Respect local communities by driving courteously and being mindful of farm vehicles. Lastly, allow extra time for your journey to accommodate unexpected delays or scenic detours, ensuring a more relaxed and enjoyable exploration of the Dallas area and broader Victoria.
