Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

The car was very clean and emaculant. The TV, cooler, and karaoke machine was a super bonus. Would definitely book again!!

2nd year in a row we booked with Paul for a family trip and both times were absolutely amazing and accommodating. Thank you so much again Paul! See you next year ☺️

The entire left side of the 360 view camera was blacked out. Paul pointed this out and apologized for it when we picked it up, and I’m sure he will get it fixed when he can, but for our trip it did pose an inconvenience. The 360 view camera is one of the big reasons I picked this vehicle, so I have to knock off a star for that.

We had some other comfort and preference issues with the vehicle, but that’s not Paul’s fault. I just should have done more research on the vehicle in advance. I will say just for benefit of future customers…if you have elderly passengers or anyone with mobility issues, I would suggest avoiding this vehicle due to the height. Even with the steps that Paul has installed, our two elderly passengers (ages 72/68, one with advancing Parkinson’s) both had difficulty entering and exiting the van. While the extra height is nice as a driver for visibility on the road, it just introduces too much of an obstacle for such passengers.

We were disappointed with the ride quality of this van. Maybe it’s just how these Mercedes Sprinter vans are, or maybe not. Perhaps it has some suspension issues that Paul could address but again, I failed to do enough research in advance to know for sure. Any imperfections on the road surfaces seemed to be magnified. The road noise from the tires was also quite significant, and there were sporadic rattles in the corners of the front doors near the windshield. We rented a 2012 Chevy Express van a couple of years ago that had a much better ride quality overall.

Wireless CarPlay is not supported, another wrong assumption I made. So you have to connect the phone via USB, but the port to do is in the dash under a door. Unless you want to leave the little door open and obstruct your vision out the windshield, you have to forcefully close the door with the cord sticking out the crack. Very poor design.

In summary, Paul was a great and attentive host. Pickup and drop off was a breeze. We had some qualms with the vehicle, but ultimately it did the job of getting us where we needed to go.

Best Turo experience we’ve had yet. Paul is exactly the type of person you’d want to rent from - prompt, friendly, and courteous. The van itself is extremely clean, runs well, and took us many miles on our family vacation. The cooler was so helpful to have and my kids loved the big tv. A very successful rental overall and we highly recommend renting from Paul!
