I filled out the questions from the Turo site, but when I went to pick up the van, no one was there! I needed to pack the van that night to leave early in the morning. The next morning I went back, turns out my rental was canceled! Apparently, although I did send my photo of my license, they wanted a "selfie". I think the lack of human communication makes the Turo experience a bit more difficult. The communication is not very good and because of that, I was late. Then while I picked up the van, the guys there told me, we can't do anything, you need to go through the Turo app! I was already running late, then I had to go through the whole process again, as you can imagine, not an ideal situation, when I should have had gotten the night before. To top it off, they even charged me for canceling, but I did not cancel! I think having the option of talking to a human would make things better for Turo.
