This is a great option to rent a van! Easy process. Van was clean and had no issues. Only thing was the remote fob must’ve been out of batteries. We had to manually unlock the doors with the key which was not a big issue. I did not report it, but I’m sure if I did they would’ve handled it.
Very happy customer. Will rent again!

Perhaps Turo is a decent company (we’ve only used it once) but the van we rented and our “host” were terrible. The van had numerous problems including the door rattling when shut, the rear parking sensor malfunctioning (it would constantly beep as if we were close to hitting something when there was nothing around), the seat belts would randomly lock and would not unlock, and, worst of all, one of the tires started breaking apart while we were on the highway. We heard pieces of the tire breaking off and when we pulled over we discovered that the tire was splitting apart at the tread. When we went to put on the spare, we discovered that it was unusable as it had a gash in it. To make matters worse, our host tried to blame us for the deteriorated tire and would not agree to pay for a replacement. Stuck alongside the highway, we had no choice but to call roadside service to have the tire replaced at a cost of $450. It was over 100 degrees outside as we waited for roadside service and we had nine people in the van. The van never should have been rented out with a tire in that condition and an inoperable spare.

Sam's response

This review does not accurately reflect the documented condition of the vehicle. Our pre-trip inspection, photos, and service records show the tires were checked before release. The van was driven approximately 1,200 miles before the tire issue was reported on day five, which is inconsistent with the claim that it was visibly unsafe at pickup. Safety is our priority, and we are happy to provide Turo or any prospective guest with inspection and maintenance records.

Ac in the rear of the van doesn’t work
