Mercedes-Benz Sprinter

I have rented multiple times on Touro and I have always enjoyed it and have been a good guest the same is true for Airbnb. I wanted to use the van for my wedding. It could not have been worse. He demanded that we pay him a $200 cash deposit for a cleaning fee which I do admit he had in the ad (which is Touro fault) but when we balked he got violent and abusive toward us. We attempted to contact Touro and it was outside their hours. We gave him the money because we had no choice as we had no "plan b" for our wedding and didnt feel comfortable meeting him when he picked up the van so I texted him where the car was securely parked with keys in it.

I understand sand is an issue for cars in Hawaii but charging me a cleaning fee via the app would have been fine. But the issue is he used the standard it must be soap clean which I believe is a tad stronger than what Touro would advocate for a host.

I also believe Touro should take some responsibility (like an apology) that businees didnt work as I hoped. Touro allowed him to place in his ad (which I missed) that he would require a cash deposit and were not available to deconflict when the situation occurred.

Regardless, I would not feel safe renting this van again because of his conduct.

This was such a fun way to take our whole family around the island! Ilya is super friendly and responsive! I’d highly recommend if you want a comfortable and smooth ride with a big group!

The Sprinter was perfect for our 10 person vacation. Ilya made the delivery and pick up very smooth. Everything about it was great. Would definitely rent it again.
