Van is very basic, meets the needs of a cargo van with a few minor issues. There is a check engine light on, and the interior lights in the back of the van to not work, which makes it challenging to navigate gear/luggage at night. Including a small broom in the vehicle would be helpful for clean out.
My bigger concern was with co/host communication and customer service. We received a message from the host instructing us to drop the van off at the International Parking at the airport, and followed these instructions. At airport parking, I uploaded photos showing full gas tank, clean van pics, and details where to locate the vehicle… I then received multiple messages from a cohost telling us that we will be charged an ‘improper drop-off fee’ for returning the van to the airport and not to the original pickup location.
I sent screenshots showing the message from the host instructing us to drop the van at the airport, and was told that it was an automated message that had been sent in error, and that we would be charged a fee for improper dropoff. It was all very confusing, the co/host continued to blame auto-messages and issues with the Turo app, and said multiple times we would be charged an additional fee. No idea if this fee will be applied or what I should expect next… Very disappointing way to end the trip.
