My experience with this Turo rental was extremely frustrating and unacceptable from start to finish.
At pickup, there were no instructions provided on how to locate or access the vehicle. I repeatedly messaged the host through the Turo app, and although my messages were read, the host never responded. I spent over an hour searching for the vehicle on my own.
When I finally located it, the vehicle did not match the listing description. Additionally, the vehicle was not clean or sanitized inside or out. Several major issues were immediately apparent:
• The radio/GPS did not work
• The step used to get into the van was broken, hanging halfway out on one side and halfway in on the other, which me and multiple individuals from my group tripped over the whole time we had the vehicle.
• Overall condition did not reflect what was advertised
Despite continuing to reach out, the host ignored all communication. I then contacted Turo customer service, who had to call the host multiple times before he finally answered.
When I spoke with the host and calmly explained my concerns, particularly the lack of communication and vehicle condition. He became irate and unprofessional, acknowledging he read the messages and simply chose not to respond, dismissing my concerns, and belittled the fact that I paid over $1,300, stating he “only received $500” and didn’t know what I wanted him to do. He then hung up the call on me and the Turo support agent by the name of

I filed a formal complaint with Turo immediately. To date, I have not been contacted by a manager regarding compensation or resolution for this experience.
To add to the inconsistency, drop-off instructions were also never provided, yet the host was quick to accept the early drop-off in the app.
This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability. I would not recommend this host or vehicle to anyone.
Sorry but in the Bible, it was already written and sealed. There are no more pages for you to write your story for the public to see. None of these allegations compare to my van’s state right now. You’ve also taken the van for over a week and expected to get it for free and is the only person wanting it for free. I have been host for 3 years and you are the only person out of my many customers that have bring these allegations up. Jesus was a good person but still was crucified by other people.
