We were disappointed with this rental.
The air conditioning malfunctioned the entire time. The back of the vehicle was barely getting any cooling, and was incredibly loud to the point where it was difficult to have a conversation/hear anything which was the whole point of renting such a vehicle for us with other families.
Our toddlers kept getting annoyed by how loud it was and asking us to turn it off because they couldn’t hear anything.
One of the middle row vents was letting out hot air.
Additionally the AC also leaked during the trip. At the end of the 4hr drive, there was water dropping on the back three rows for an hour straight and we had to keep mopping it up with paper-towel.
Another time after a rain, there was gushes of water that came out of the AC vents in the back onto the passengers.
Driving wise, the sprinter often took a lot of aggressive pressing on the gas pedal to move when it was at a standstill which was a little more than expected from a diesel vehicle. A few times I thought it had given out completely. The car would also shift itself into park at red lights. The back right brake light did not turn on until the end of our journey back home to Charlotte.
Overall the trip was fun and having a van for everyone was good but the issues were disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We take every concern seriously. After the trip, we repaired a damaged rooftop A/C cover that may have allowed rainwater to enter and replaced the brake-light bulb. Mercedes-Benz then inspected and test-drove the van and confirmed it was operating properly. We appreciate your feedback and wish we had been contacted during the trip so we could assist. I sincerely apologize for having to cancel this reservation. Unfortunately, the previous renter returned the van much later than scheduled, which prevented me from preparing and inspecting it to the standards I expect before every trip.
I understand how disappointing and inconvenient a cancellation can be, and I made this decision because I wasn't willing to provide a vehicle that hadn't been properly cleaned, inspected, and made ready for the next guest.
