We encountered several issues that make it unlikely we will use your company again. First, when the shuttle dropped us off at your vehicle, it left us there without assistance. While we understand that this might happen, the car had not been started or maintained for several days. As a result, we had to sit in a freezing car while it warmed up. We were not prepared to wait for the vehicle to be ready to drive, especially since the temperature was below zero and we had no place to get warm.
Second, the car completely died, and we had to wait seven hours for assistance. Both Caribou and Turo had me handle most of the communication between them. At one point, Turo instructed me to walk five miles to meet the tow truck driver, despite the extremely low temperatures.
Although we received a refund, we were still charged for a full day even though the vehicle was inoperable. I had to call Turo to request a full refund. Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience.
