Everything was as expected

I’ve rented through Turo many times and usually have great experiences, but this one was disappointing. I originally rented the car because my own vehicle was in maintenance, but my car was finished earlier than expected. I reached out to the host to return the vehicle early since I no longer needed it, but they declined because it would have required refunding about $7.
Since I couldn’t officially end the trip early, I returned the vehicle to the exact location and condition I received it in, informed the owner, and completed the return process the following day.
Unfortunately, the car itself also had several issues. The driver’s seat would not properly adjust, making it uncomfortable and difficult to drive safely. The headlights were extremely dim at night and visibility was poor. The rear hatch would not open, the brakes were noisy, and there was even a missing wheel button/cap.
Overall, this was not the quality or condition I expect from a Turo rental, especially compared to my past experiences.

Regarding the early return request, we followed Turo’s reservation policy, and while we were happy to allow an early drop-off, the original booking terms remained in place through the platform.
We would also like to respectfully clarify that this vehicle had a full maintenance inspection completed on May 6th and is regularly serviced

Unreasonably dirty vehicles may result in a $150 fine
