We rented a BMW for four days during our vacation in Kona, and it truly elevated the entire experience. The car was absolutely amazing—clean, impeccably maintained, and a joy to drive. It handled beautifully on everything from scenic coastal highways to winding island roads, and the comfort made longer drives effortless. Having a vehicle that combined performance and luxury added a special touch to exploring the island.
Just as impressive as the car was the host. They were incredibly easy to work with, communication was clear and prompt from start to finish, and the entire process—from pickup to drop-off—was smooth and stress-free. It’s always reassuring to rent from someone who is organized, responsive, and genuinely wants you to have a great experience.
Overall, this BMW was the perfect choice for our Kona getaway, and we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. Highly recommend!

Mike and Heather were amazing hosts and easy to get along with! The car was in pristine condition and easy to drive. Very comfortable and definitely the right car to get around in Kona and they even have golf clubs they can let you rent and come with the car!
You’ll have to book this amazing X3 if you come to Kona!! We will book again next time we are around

Rating Turo, not the host.
Worst rental experience in decades of car rentals. Poor directions to parking lot, arrived at night to dimly lit lot with rows of hundreds of cars. No numbering at spaces. We and other renters wandering around trying to find cars.
No warning about Teslas (do you know how to drive one, do you know you need internet to get started (almost no internet in parking lots), stupid Turo bot for customer service is useless, no warning that this wasn't a long range Tesla with insufficient range to drive to parts of the island of Hawaii, almost no charging locations, with none rapid charging, and on and on).
Will NEVER, EVER again use Turo (this was first time). I've used Hertz for decades...what a mistake this was. Account delete, app deleted. Best advice is STAY AWAY.
