Found crack all the way through on the windshield when we were picking up the car. Totally unacceptable and a safety concern. We ended up having to call Turo customer service to cancel the booking. 3 hours wasted.
We explained the guest that the car was left with a cracked windshield from the previous trip which was returned same day of his pick up. We just didn't want to leave him without vehicle, the crack on the windshield wasn't that big and it has been already fixed. We always try to help our guests best as possible.

The car itself was in good condition and drove fine—no mechanical issues or cleanliness concerns. The host was prompt and responsive with communication throughout the booking and rental period, which was a positive.
The main disappointment came after the trip. This was an EV rental: I picked up the car at 77% battery and returned it at 69%—a drop of just 8% over the entire rental, which seemed very reasonable given typical usage. Despite the small difference, I was still assessed a recharging fee afterward. It wasn’t the dollar amount that bothered me as much as the fact that they felt the need to charge at all for such a minor and marginal difference.
I’d warn other renters considering this host: if you’re renting an EV from them, be aware that even a very small drop in battery percentage might still trigger a recharging fee. The policy felt overly strict and inflexible for what was essentially normal use. Communication was solid, but this post-rental nickel-and-diming left a poor impression.
Would not rent from this host again.
