Before the trip Eva started there was a discrepancy on the pickup. The location was chose because it was close to my house in the time frame that I had to pick up a car. Pick up was supposed to be at 12:30 at 12:11. I got an alert that the address had been changed which through the rest of my day off.
The car was dirty on the outside and inside. Completely unacceptable. Asked for compensation for the inconvenience. Nothing else was discussed or given for this inconvenience.
There was no communication on where the key would be left. The gentleman who came out. Shared that they are new to Turo. I did advise communication is key to be successful. Not assume one knows where and how they operate their rentals.
Photos were taken of the car, interior and exterior. After pulling off I noticed that the gas was on E. I was not paying attention to that. Initially I was looking at the mileage and if any lights were on. So not only was the car dirty there was also no gas in the car. The car was returned with more gas than I actually picked it up on. As well as car wash /vacuum. (Receipt left in car) This rental was over $500 for the weekend. I gave a three star rating instead of lower because the car was a decent car. Just so dissatisfied with the upkeep and the lack of communication. I've used Turo for 5 years and this is the first bad experience. I know reviews matter, but I also don't want to act like it was a great experience.
