Gas lid was broken, and fuel wasn’t filled up.

The Wagoneer itself was okay, but the overall experience was an absolute disaster.
I had five kids with me during a late-night arrival at IAH, and despite giving ample notice about which garage I needed, the vehicle was still parked in the wrong location. Anyone reviewing this should look at the message timestamps before, during, and after my flight. The communication failures are obvious.
Response times were terrible. I had to repeatedly call, text, and message through the Turo app just to get basic help. They ignored or delayed responses for long periods, and they would not even answer calls from Turo customer service.
To make matters worse, they waited until I physically arrived at the airport to confirm my driver’s license, which is unbelievably unprofessional and completely backward. That should have been handled well before arrival, not after a family lands late at night exhausted from travel.
The only time communication suddenly improved was near the end of the trip when they wanted the vehicle returned. Funny how they became responsive only when it benefited them.
If you fly into the C/D/E terminals and they dump the vehicle in the A/B garage, expect to drag luggage and children over a mile across the airport, pay to exit the garage yourself, and deal with frustrating, amateur-level communication the entire time.
The vehicle was acceptable, but the service was careless, disorganized, and embarrassing. Compared to other Turo hosts, this operation felt completely amateur. They seriously need to become a more professional service if they want to operate at a major airport like IAH.
I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far better and more professional Turo providers who actually understand customer service, airport logistics, and communication. This was easily one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had.
We had to park the vehicle at a different parking location because the preferred terminal parking was full and there were no available spaces for us to park there. Unfortunately, the availability of parking slots is out of our control.
Regarding the communication, we completed the form for the vehicle location, which is the usual process for every check-in. The parking details and location are automatically sent out an hour before the trip start time.
