⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Vehicle for a Long Road Trip!
I was extremely satisfied with this rental! I drove it to South Padre Island, a 6 hour drive each way, and overall, the vehicle performed great. It had plenty of get-up-and-go, and the brakes felt great. The Jeep was clean and had plenty of room for all my fishing and beach gear, an ice chest, and luggage.
A couple of minor issues are worth mentioning. On both the drive down and the return trip, about halfway through, the dashboard started flashing warnings that the parking light and right turn signal were out. I checked the lights, and they were working, so it may have been an electrical glitch. Also, like some Jeeps, it experienced a wobble when braking at higher speeds, although it drove well otherwise.
One thing to keep in mind is that while there was plenty of cargo space for my trip, I had to use the back seat for some of my gear. If you’re traveling with more than two people and bringing a lot of luggage, space could get tight.
Fuel economy was another plus! I only had to fill the tank three times for the entire trip.
Overall, I was very happy with this rental. It was clean, comfortable, capable, and well-suited for a long road trip. I’d definitely recommend it, especially for a couple looking for a vehicle with plenty of cargo space for an adventure!
