Great car! Very clean and roomy

I have used Turo many times and this was the worst experience I have ever experienced with the company. When we arrived to the airport it was very early so I had to wait until my scheduled time to receive the car which was 10am. We had to wait on him to bring the truck and park it which was past 10am and that was the first bad sign. I kept reaching out to him asking him was he on his way. He finally parked the car and gave the directions to find it. I have always had an easy process with any other vehicles I have rented. The next day a message came up on the dashboard stating low engine oil. I reached out and told him the message popped up and that the truck was feeling weird but still drivable. We were at a pool party in Houston so I was in the middle of partying and having fun. The next day I checked Turo and he messaged me back asking me did I put oil in it. I found that odd because I never experienced this with rental cars and didn’t think that was my problem but I asked him what kind of oil he want me to put in it( I never put the oil in it because my family told me not to and he didn’t tell me what kind anyway) so later on that day we were at a store and as I was pulling off the truck completely shut off on me. It completely went black like no electricity at all in the middle of the road. I assumed he may have cut it off with a switch. Me and my family could have been on a highway and gotten hurt. I called him and told him what was going on. He was very rude to me making it seem like it was my fault his truck wasn’t probably maintained. He said it just happen to need oil while we was renting it so I’m the one that suppose to put the oil and he was being sarcastic when I asked him for help. His exact words were ( What am I suppose to do? Send a jet?) I became upset and called support and told them what was going on. He started messaging me on Turo saying he can see that the battery died and it’s not the oil and that he could come change the battery. I didn’t want anything to do with him anymore so I continued to talk to Turo. They called him then called me back stating that he can bring me another truck. I agreed because I was in another state and had 6 people with me who were all upset. We waited about 30 mins but overall it was a 2 hour process and he finally came with the other truck and all of a sudden the truck I had lit back up. That’s why I assumed he cut it off. I couldn’t fill the truck up with gas because of the outage so I got extra charges on the gas when I turned it in. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Bianca i understand your trip was frustrating. I want to set the record straight. Fist alI didn't turn off the vehicle on you the car doent have that feature. We keep a maintenance log on car does notify me when there is an issue. We did receive your txt stating that the vehicle was in need of oil. Sometimes vehicle malfunction and we can only fix them after the fact but as you notice and state upon my arrival the vehicle turn on at the fist try and. No isues about the fees this are set by turo
