My husband, our husky, and I rented this car for our road trip to Banff, and we absolutely loved it! It was our first time driving an electric vehicle, and after nearly 2,000 miles and about 50 comfortable hours on the road, we would 100% do it all over again.
The ride was incredibly smooth, comfortable, spotless, and the Bose sound system made the drive even more enjoyable. While charging does require a little extra planning, we actually came to appreciate those breaks. They gave us the perfect opportunity to stretch our legs, take our dog for a walk, or grab something to eat. If you're driving from 80–100% down to about 15–25% battery, you'll probably be ready for a break anyway!
This was also our first time renting through Turo, and we couldn't have asked for a better host. Xavier was incredibly helpful in answering all of our EV questions, always responded quickly, and was consistently friendly throughout the trip. It's clear that he genuinely cares about providing an outstanding experience and goes above and beyond for his guests.
The only problem now is that this trip convinced us we want to own a Hyundai Ioniq!
