Great car, easy pick up and drop off!

We’re so glad you enjoyed the car! Happy to hear pickup and drop-off were both easy and smooth.
Car was fine, host was fine, but “at SLC airport” shouldn’t mean an hour walk. So I took an uber to The Parking Spot. Unfortunately, the car wasn’t there either and it was a nine minute walk to my car. Luckily only had a carry on. Turns out there is a shuttle from the airport. Would’ve been nice to know. Much better instructions on the drop off than the check in.

We’re glad the vehicle worked well for your trip, and we apologize that the pickup process was frustrating. Shuttle and pickup information is provided in the instructions sent before the trip begins, and we appreciate your feedback about making those details even easier to follow for future guests.
Let me start with the fact that I shared these points with LA Auto Spot (SLC) and received only a 1 day credit off a 13 day rental.
I DO NOT recommend renting from this LA Auto Spot group. From the details below, you will see they do not represent what a Turo experience should be and are really acting like a cheap rent-a-car company. This was the worst experience I've ever had renting a car. Let me share the issues:
1. They changed my vehicle THE MORNING of my reservation, leaving me no time to find another car. This has never happened to me on Turo.
2. I had specifically selected an 8 seater car because of the 8 people that were going to be in my car.
3. They swapped me with a 6 seater car. (The Ford Explorer they gave me is falsely advertised as an 8 seater. It has 6 seats and 6 seatbelts)
4. I had purposely selected a newer car, 2025. They swapped me with a 2023
5. I messaged them immediately and they said there was nothing they could do and just kept asking me to accept it
6. I asked them if they would provide a difference in price and they refused. Older car, fewer seats, no discount. It would definitely have been cheaper if I rented the 2023 on Turo
7. My friends had to spend $500 to rent a separate car because these guys gave me the smaller car. Somehow, their swap became my problem and my financial burden.
8. After I picked up the car, the window washer fluid light comes on. I let that pass, never mention it to them because sometimes little things happen. CarPlay over Bluetooth also didn’t work.
9. I went to drop the 3rd row seats to store bags. The right rear seat headrest is broken, would not go down so the seat doesn't collapse all the way making more difficult to store a lot of bags. I messaged this to them with pictures.
10. Then the next day, the low tire pressure warning comes on (rear left tire). I let that pass at the time and just filled the tire with air, hoping it will last.
11. 4 days later, the warning light came on again. I messaged them about this because now it's a real safety issue. They offered to swap me an EVEN SMALLER CAR (5 seater vs 6 they gave me vs 8 that I had reserved). No discounts, btw.
12. Then they told me to come to their lot to swap cars, which is an hour away. So, again, a problem with their car becomes my problem to drive an hour each way on a bad tire to swap their cars.
13. They then offered to look into someone coming to me to swap cars and after a day, no one could do it. So, it's okay for me to take several hours out of my vacation to drive to their lot but they can't find one person (of the 10 hosts they have) to come out and swap cars?
14. They finally tell me to go get it patched myself and they'll give me 1/2 day credit back on my trip. So, again, I have to find a tire place that is open, go there, and patch a tire during my vacation because a car I never wanted had an issue.
15. Finally, their car pickup experience is ridiculous. Miles away from the airport, in some random lot, zero staff around, dark and hard to see the rows where the car was parked. I’ve never experienced this at SLC where all the Turo providers park in either the short term garage or the economy lot at the airport.
16. I offered far ahead of my rental day if I could pay more money to pickup the car in the closer lots at the airport. I was very happy to pay the parking charge, or even a higher fee. They said no.
It's clear from the experience and the company structure (10 hosts), they are just trying to operate a cheap rent-a-car company, with poor customer experience, taking advantage of Turo customers who specifically do not want that experience.
